Some cookies to welcome you!

Welcome to Wikipedia, Johndoeemail! I am Brewcrewer and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome! brewcrewer (yada, yada) 18:37, 24 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Mike and the Maddog

[edit]

I saw your comments on the talkpage. If you could find that article I would greatly appreciate it. I think it is very relevant and should belong in the lead of the article. I also read in places that they were the pioneers in their field, but I couldn't find it when I needed it so I did not want to add that claim to the article.--brewcrewer (yada, yada) 18:41, 24 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Guide to referencing

[edit]

Click on "show" on the right of the orange bar to open contents.

Watchlist

[edit]

The watchlist allows you to keep track of articles and view the most recent changes to them. This way you can visit the page to see if there have been any recent edits to articles you are interested in. For busy articles this is fairly useless as there could have been dozen of changes since your last visit and seeing the most recent edit doesn't tell you much. For articles which are much less busy it can be useful to keep an eye on them for any occasional changes. Think of it like an active bookmark. I showed up on your watchlist because when you checked it I was the last person to edit the noticeboard.--Crossmr (talk) 05:47, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 05:06, 23 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, you did an awesome job at finding sources for the Muhammad Ali article. But instead of adding the links to the talkpage, why don't you just add them directly to the article? Regarding your comment on my talkpage, I'm a bit confused because it seems like it is now called NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. Best, --brewcrewer (yada, yada) 19:21, 24 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again, I've posted a more detailed reply at the section you started at the Help Desk. Let me know if there's any further assistance I can give. All the best, PeterSymonds (talk) 19:41, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wall Street Crash

Hi - technically, this is October 2008 in wiki-land, so this tag and the one before are not quite right. I personally just put in the tag (and I use {{cn}} for some reason, but I think it works the same) and then let a bot come along behind me and put in the date. No biggie, just letting you know. :) Franamax (talk) 02:48, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
