This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Toronto-Toros.gif. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rory096 04:07, 2 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not submit copyright violations[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as Wayne Dillon, but we regretfully cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from either web sites or printed material. This article appears to be a direct copy from http://www.legendsofhockey.net:8080/LegendsOfHockey/jsp/SearchPlayer.jsp?player=12463. As a copyright violation, Wayne Dillon appears to qualify for speedy deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. Wayne Dillon has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message. If the source is a credible one, please consider rewriting the content and citing the source.

If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GFDL, you can comment to that effect on Talk:Wayne Dillon. If the article has already been deleted, but you have a proper release, you can reenter the content at Wayne Dillon, after describing the release on the talk page. However, you may want to consider rewriting the content in your own words. Thank you, and please feel free to continue contributing to Wikipedia.

Gilles Gratton[edit]

Another cut and paste job. I deleted this one because the "streaking" claim was unsourced and could claims like this about living people fall under WP:CSD#A6. Kusma (討論) 01:41, 19 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have any evidence that this is licensed as creative commons? If yes, please provide that evidence, or the image will have to be deleted as violating the copyright notice here. Kusma (討論) 01:45, 19 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Vaclav Nedomansky[edit]

If you submit one more copyright infringement, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Kusma (討論) 15:45, 19 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned fair use image (Image:TorontoToros .gif)[edit]

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:TorontoToros .gif. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that your image can be used under a fair use license. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If your image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why your image was deleted. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Rory096 21:17, 19 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Toronto-Toros.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Toronto-Toros.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 02:46, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello JohnnyGG! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to this article, it would greatly help us with the current 938 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Bill Ballard - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
