A major issue that I need to discuss with you is about the article Nur Ali Elahi. Since he seems to be the same person as Ostad Elahi what I have done is redirect that article to the Ostad Elahi article. We do not have more than one article on each person generally, and there is no good reason to have a completely different article on this name. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or a mere collection of external links. June 2007[edit]

This user account has not made edits since 2006, but I thought it would be more easily visible, and better organized, if I were to tag this actual user account (instead of a more recently used IP address) with {{Sockpuppeteer}}. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 15:23, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Also of note, Johnyajohn added external links to tanbursociety.com, antoniabennett.com, and mathewbrady.com to Wikipedia (see edits [3], [4] & [5], respectively). All three sites are registered to the same email address (WHOIS links: [6], [7], [8]). Subsequently, Danny had left these comments at Talk:Antonia Bennett. Johnyajohn's suspected sockpuppets are also involved with editing the Lydia Hearst article. lhearst.com is another domain registered to the same email address ([9]). Interesting, because today's edit summaries & patterns (e.g. [10]) seem to be the complete opposite of those made earlier in the page history (e.g. [11]). The website itself currently reads "This website has been suspended for non-payment!" so perhaps that has something to do with this change of heart. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 20:39, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Johnyajohn also copied the Hajj Amin Elahi article from (and linked to) the tanbursociety.com website ([12]). The Tanbur Society[edit]

A "{{prod}}" template has been added to the article The Tanbur Society, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but yours may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Notability of Hajj Amin Elahi[edit]

A tag has been placed on Hajj Amin Elahi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay.
