Dakota Bar and Grill

[edit]

First of all, welcome to Wikipeida! Anyways, i noticed you put the NPOV tag on the article, also i would use the just the NPOV tag in the future, seeing as this is hardly an advertisment compared to what can get put on wikipedia. I know it seems vague, but the only history that i can find is at the actual club (unfortunately there isnt a lot online and i am not going to be in the twin cities again until mid june). Being from minneapolis, being a musician and one who knows many musicians in the business, it is the top club in the state to play at. And, minnesota, especially the twin cities, is noted for the many jazz clubs/resturants where live music can be heard. So, i guess if i can just suspend the article until i can get more information, which really wouldnt make sense, but i will talk to some of my admin friends and see what they recommend.--Geppy 06:32, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, sounds good. Thanks. Jon Stockton 06:42, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

interests

[edit]

I don't think it's accurate to say that one of your main interests is "politics". Perhaps "current events", "the news", or "the Washington Post". Also, you left out cavaliers and cheeseburgers. And me. Epitler 02:17, 27 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, that's not a complete or exclusive list of interests, just a few things I thought of. The page will continue to change over time. My interests tend to be broad; I'll edit anything I may be interested in at the time. Thanks for your comments :) Feel free to give me editing suggestions. -Jon Stockton 02:35, 27 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi

[edit]

I'm working on a bit of fiction. Might not come to anything but there is a bit that includes a European takeover of a listed company. I know very little about business and have a few questions about how things might play out in a situation. Anyone who would be willing to write back and forth on the topic would be great to hear from. I'm inspirationexchange@yahoo.com

Hi. I'm guessing you contacted me because I edited the Takeover page. I really don't know anything about takeovers or business, I just made a minor edit. Maybe you could try others who have made more substantial edits to that page, though some people may not be interested in a non-Wikipedia related personal project. Just make sure you don't send the same message to many people, as that is considered spam. (I noticed you haven't done this.) Good luck with your work! -Jon Stockton 18:49, 28 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Line

[edit]

Thanks for your message. There have been various discussions, such as at Wikipedia talk:Guide to layout#Horizontal line (where the issue didn't arouse much interest. I've just posted a message to Wikipedia talk:Hatnotes, where I've summarised the discussion so far, and asked for other arguments. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 12:33, 31 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jon! Thanks for your recent interest in the AfD of the 2006 World Cup controversies article. Your input is most appreciated. Since the AfD is now closed and the World Cup almost over, I'd like to encourage you to put some input into the improvement of this article, either by improving where you think you can, or by suggesting changes on the talk page. Kind regards, MyNameIsNotBob 03:32, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Cornell

[edit]

I have just started WikiProject Cornell University, an attempt to thoroughly cover topics related to Cornell. If you would like to participate, you can visit the project page, where you can join the project and see a list of open tasks. Thanks! —mercuryboardtalk 05:23, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Bwahaha

[edit]

"Lesser Ivies." That's fresh. Something tells me that the "HYPers" might feel a little threatened, no? Or, perhaps they're just enamoured by their own wondrousness. Who knows? ;-) --AaronS 01:19, 30 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Haha, yeah. I like how the anon who added it (also a vandal, incidentally) linked to lesser Ivies as if he actually expected an article to exist on the subject. - Jon Stockton 01:35, 30 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Disambiguation Talk Request

[edit]

This is a form message being sent to all WikiProject Disambiguation participants. I recently left a proposed banner idea on the WikiProject Disambiguation talk page and I would appreciate any input you could provide. Before it can be approved or denied, I would prefer a lot of feedback from multiple participants in the project. So if you have the time please join in the discussion to help improve the WikiProject. Keep up the good work in link repair and thanks for your time. Nehrams2020 21:32, 9 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

DC Meetup notice

[edit]

Greetings. There is going to be a Washington DC Wikipedia meetup on next Saturday, July 21st at 5pm in DC. Since you are listed in Category:Wikipedians_in_Virginia, I thought I'd invite you to come. I'm sorry about the short notice for the meeting. Hopefully we'll do somewhat better in that regard next time. If you can't come but want to make sure that you are informed of future meetings be sure to list yourself under "but let me know about future events", and if you don't want to get any future direct notices \(like this one\), you can list yourself under "I'm not interested in attending any others either" on the DC meetup page.--Gmaxwell 22:08, 14 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
