Question on Middle English Bible translation

The source languages (and the tools to understand them e.g. Greek-English dictionaries) became more easily available. The other major factor affecting this was the fall of Constantinople in 1453, causing Greek scholars to leave and bring Greek texts into the rest of Europe - Greek texts which had remained largely unaltered by peoples who still used them in the Koine Greek rather than the Greek they spoke daily.
