Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended or used for publicity and/or promotional purposes. Please read the following carefully.

Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, celebrity or other well-known individual, or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements, and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but such groups are generally discouraged from using Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.

Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?

Probably not. See WP:FAQ/Organizations for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, or organization. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit again. Consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

What can I do now?

You are still welcome to write about something other than your company or organization. If you do intend to make useful contributions on some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} on your user talk page.
  • Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, please see how to appeal a block.

Request reason:

Listen I don't care if you keep my account blocked, but I was not using this account to 'promote', I was monitoring malicious changes to pages about us. As you can see from my contributions I was not spamming. The rationale for not overturning the deletion of the Monolith Software page is nonsensical - I had nothing to do with writing it. And it's deletion lead to the removal from other pages where I reversed the deletion. I also find it interesting that the Monolith Software page had been up for a number of years until an editor that is currently under trial, Courcelles, deleted the page without going through the page deletion process.

Decline reason:

No valid reason given to unblock. --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 09:07, 31 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
What do you mean by "an editor that is currently under trial"? Courcelles is not under any sanctions. Further, he deleted the page after the article was proposed for deletion for seven days without objection, an appropriate means of deletion. Eagles 24/7 (C) 02:38, 31 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
(Non-administrator comment)I would further advise you to read WP:NOTTHEM and get back to us. Your current unblock request is unlikely to get you anywhere. The Blade of the Northern Lights (話して下さい) 02:52, 31 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I said Courcelles was under trial not sanctions and I am just going by the wiki page for editors under trial. Where is the discussion on the deletion of the Monolith Software page, I don't see it in the article deletion log discussions, going back to the 31st of July. Additionally the page was on my watch list but no activity was ever registered that the page was under review. Jonathanmlsw (talk) 03:03, 31 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Where is this "wiki page for editors under trial"? And there was no full-blown discussion. The PROD was placed on the article and after seven days of no objections to deletion, it was deleted. You can view the reasoning behind the deletion in the deletion log. If someone who doesn't have a conflict of interest (meaning, not you) wishes to see the page undeleted, they can request undeletion. Eagles 24/7 (C) 03:14, 31 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
