This sort of usage requires an en-dash rather than a hyphen.

Also, notice some differences below:

These are respectively coded as:

\mathrm{codom} f

\operatorname{codom} f

\operatorname{codom}(f)

The first one lacks proper spacing. When \operatorname{} is used, the spacing to the left and right is right. Notice the difference between the second and third items above: There is less space after "codom" in the second one than in the first. With \operatorname{} the spacing depends on context; with \mathrm{} it does not. The spacing conventions built in to the software are those appropriate for mathematical notation. That and some other differences that can be seen in some contexts are why \operatorname{} is the proper usage here. Michael Hardy (talk) 16:59, 5 December 2019 (UTC)

Golden Bay Air are holding some seats for us until 21 November

Thinking about your summer break? Think about joining other Wikipedians and Wikimedians in Golden Bay / Mohua! Details are on the meetup page. There's heaps of interesting stuff to work on e.g. the oldest extant waka or New Zealand's oldest ongoing legal case. Or you may spend your time taking photos and then upload them.

Golden Bay is hard to get to and the airline flying into Tākaka uses small planes, so we are holding some seats from and to Wellington and we are offering attendees a $200 travel subsidy to help with costs.
