Director parameter[edit]

Hi there, re: this a quick note to edify you that the |director= parameter of the film infobox is for the film's chief director, not for assistant directors. Similarly, in the |cinematographer= parameter we only care about the primary cinematographer, not second unit cinematographers, and so forth. Thank you, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:42, 8 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Can i include assistant director name external the templet area. Jorjman (talk) 07:56, 9 April 2017 (UTC) Jorjman (talk) 07:56, 9 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Starring parameter of film infobox[edit]

Hi there, re: this, similar to my previous note to you about the purpose of the Director parameter, the |starring= parameter of the film infobox is not intended to be used to list all of the people who appear in the movie, only the people who receive the special "starring" credits. Typically, starring credits are derived from the theatrical poster's billing block. If this is not available (as is often the case in Indian cinema) then we would use the film's onscreen credits, or if that's not helpful, some established authoritative source. "Starring" does not mean "appearing in", so it's questionable that there would be 10 starring roles in this film. Please see the instructions at Template:Infobox film to get a better handle on how to use the various infobox parameters. And if you dispute my reversion, feel free to open a discussion on the article's talk page to seek consensus. Thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 19:06, 22 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Re: this, it's again unclear why you're adding these additional roles to |starring=. The article lead indicates two people are the "stars", which may or may not be accurate, but fleshing out |starring= to reflect 4 roles, two of which are questionable entries as "stars" isn't helpful, particularly when your changes are unexplained and unsourced. It's also unclear why you chose to get rid of the tidy wiki-friendly {{ubl}} unbulleted list formatting in favor of the less favorable clunky HTML line breaks. Thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 10:37, 23 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, re: these changes, please see the Template:Infobox film instructions and familiarise yourself with the purpose of each parameter. Baahubali is a film that, according to sources, was filmed in both Telugu and Tamil. It's unclear why you are adding content about the Hindi dub in this article. If information about the dub is noteworthy (and that's questionable, since a ton of American films are dubbed into a variety of languages, yet those versions are not crammed prominently into film articles) then it belongs somewhere else in the article, and should be well sourced and documented as noteworthy. Thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 06:16, 29 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Your page, which is intended to be an RFA nomination, is in main space as an article entitled Jorjman. I am sure this is not what you intended. You probably wanted to develop this in a sandbox and transclude it to the RfA page. I tagged it because I thought it was a newbie mistake. I see you are an established editor but nonetheless, I think you did not intend to put this in main space. I suggest you delete my speedy deletion template and ask that page be deleted so it may be deleted as an original author request. Then you can proceed in the correct manner. I suggest you review the RfA information pages to see whether you wish to proceed with this and the proper way to do it. Donner60 (talk) 05:11, 23 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Hi,Dear you are right i have wanted to create it on RfA but by mistake i create it on Artical page sorry for that and give me suggest how to delete page. (Thank you) Jorjman (talk) 05:17, 23 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
You are welcome. I suggest you read Wikipedia:Advice for RfA candidates before you proceed with an RfA. There are also several user essays about RfA. Some are a few years old but most are not really outdated. User:Kudpung/RfA criteria is a good one. I think you will find from the information on these pages that you do not have enough experience or edits to have a successful RfA. I do not intend to be harsh or critical. I am just telling you about these pages and what they say for your information. I am only trying to advise that I think you will be disappointed if you apply for RfA now. You should make consistent contributions for at least a year without major gaps in time and also follow advice in the linked pages. Best of luck in your editing and Wikipedia participation.
