You reverted User:Hullaballoo Wolfowitz's valid removal of a BLPPROD tag. To be BLPPROD eligible, an article must have no sources. Not no reliable sources or no secondary sources; no sources. At all. Whatsoever. The reliable source requirement only applies after a valid BLPPROD placement, which yours wasn't. Adam9007 (talk) 23:55, 3 May 2016 (UTC)

Does anyone at Wikipedia ever read some of the pages that have been approved. The things you keep telling me I can't put on my proposed page are currently used on pages all over Wikipedia.

I'm sorry, at 80 years old I can't deal with the way Wikipedia does business. I wish I could, but Wikipedia just doesn't give a damn about me and my proposed web page. My web sites provide valuable information to dancers all over the world. Related to swing dance I was the first on the internet in 1995 getting new dance domain names such as SwingDance.com, LindyHop.com and others.

Please don't bother in your response to refer me to another instructional Wikipedia page. Wikipedia has already had 20 people contact me. That is not a professional way to run a business. Your business methods are as bad as our U.S. Congress (both are terrible). You drive your Volunteers nuts having to work your way.

There is only one person at Wikipedia (Rhonda Robbins) who really helped me, and I can't get her to contact me again.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Trinity Green (building), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ratcliffe. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

First comment

Why in my proposed Wikipedia page did you use the following methods of entering links?

The first link is used to provide marketing information for another company which has nothing to do with me or my project here.

2.Jump up ^ California Swing Dance Hall of Fame: California Swing Dance Hall of Fame, accessdate: May 6, 2016

EXAMPLES Why couldn't they have been entered as they were before I was asked by Wikipedia to remove all links. See below:

Also, would it be possible to add the following 2 links to me and my wife competition dancing in 1973 & 1972? We did great Flying Lindy type swing dancing with aerials, lifts and drops.

Thank for all your help, I really appreciate it. Leon Raper

Wikipedia requires references from reliable sources- these are independent sources of information written about you by other people. Wikipedia doesn't want links from companies/websites that you're affiliated with, as anyone can write about their own employees/sportsmen etc. The references that Theroadislong added are independent, and therefore considered reliable.
Also, Youtube is not considered a reliable source, and Youtube videos have complicated copyright restrictions, and so shouldn't be used on Wikipedia. Joseph2302 (talk) 23:01, 6 May 2016 (UTC)

Second comment

Hi Joseph,

There is an error in Preferences where you entered "US Open 2015 Hall of Fame Leon Raper..." I have no relationship with the US Open Hall of Fame.

My award was issued to me from the 2015 World Swing Dance Hall of Fame (Special Recognition Award)

Thanks,

Leon Raper

Hubert Leon Raper 19:28, 6 May 2016 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by LeonRaper (talkcontribs)

Sigh.. It is a reference (Not a Preference) that supports the fact that you won the award, if you click on the link [1] included in the reference you will see that it says that you won the award, this is what Wikipedia requires if you are to have an article about you. Theroadislong (talk) 19:45, 6 May 2016 (UTC)
Agree, as Theroadislong said above, and per my explanation on reliable sources above. Joseph2302 (talk) 23:01, 6 May 2016 (UTC)

Improvements to article of Michel Daigle

Hi Joseph2302,

Thank you for the comments you made with regards to adding references to the article "Michel Daigle" on 10 April 2016.

I've since added a number of references (reference count has increased from about 20 to 41 now). Most of these are newspaper articles and a handful are from ski industry trade press from the mid 1970s. They support information in the four sections you highlighted as requiring additional references: "Freestyle skiing career", "Selected freestyle skiing results", "The Michel Daigle Ski Camp" and "Post-skiing career".

(I am unsure about the use of a company website, however, to support the subject's current professional occupation).

Are the references that I've added sufficient to get the article listed as an A or B class article?

If they are, how do I get the article changed to the A or B category?

If they aren't what further improvements can you recommend?

Thank you.

Gaelmeagher (talk) 18:14, 8 May 2016 (UTC)

Hi Gaelmeagher and sorry for the late reply. I'm happy that the referencing is much better now, I've removed the "needs more sources" tag.
Anyone is allowed to change the rating of an article- I'm quite busy, so don't currently have time to rereview the article properly. I'd recommend asking on one of the WikiProjects (either for the Olympics or skiing), as people there should be happy to help rereview the aricle.
As a small aside, A-class is almost never used for some reason, so they'll probably rate it B-class. Joseph2302 (talk) 10:33, 11 May 2016 (UTC)

Thanks Joseph Gaelmeagher (talk) 10:43, 11 May 2016 (UTC)

My source is legally binding on Allin Khan as she made a legal declaration and anyone who believes in the Electoral Commission. Electoral Roll and Allin Khan own witnessed legal declaration show she did not live in Tooting as she claims.

Sophia Parker is in Tooting but not Allin-Khan who has legally declared an address in the Constituency of Battersea. She was UNlikely to have voted for Sadiq Khan in 2015 General Election as she lives in Battersea not Tooting. She has legally signed a statement(s) witnessed by others that she lives in the constituency of Battersea.

NLT is clear; NPA is not

Take my advice: calling what Yscambridge is doing to you "legal threats" is a much easier way to deal with the problem than calling them "personal attacks". While I have no doubt that both are accurate descriptions, NLT-violations very quickly result in indefinite blocks, and if the threats are not withdrawn they will not be unblocked. NPA is an extremely messy policy and in my experience users who engage in personal attacks and are brought to ANI for this reason are almost never blocked for personal attacks. They are blocked for real-world threats, competence issues, tendentious editing and other bullshit, but when just about anything can be called a "personal attack" and the burden is on the party who was attacked, it's ... a lot messier.

Stick to quoting NLT and the problem will be dealt with faster, is all I'm saying.

Hijiri 88 (やや) 12:23, 22 May 2016 (UTC)

Thanks for the advice Hijiri 88, I'll note it for the future. Although they did actually get blocked as not here in the end, rather than for legal threats. Joseph2302 (talk) 22:54, 22 May 2016 (UTC)
One more word of advice: I don't know why, but recently a lot of users have tried to ping me as "User:Hijiri 88". My username does not have a space. Many users sign their posts with something slightly different than their actual username. If you want people to see your posts you need to be careful when you ping them that you use their exact username. But also be aware that if you correct a ping after the fact, they still won't be notified unless you sign your post again. I'm not sure exactly why, but them's apparently the ropes.
