PROD

Hi Joseph2302, I saw your comment over at AfD on the Color Me A Rainbow discussion. I definitely understand the frustration about the bureaucracy involved. I do want to point out, however, that plenty of pages are PRODded and never see them ever again. As such, having PROD makes sense in that it does reduce the volume at AfD, even though we sometimes do have to rehash a discussion on an obviously non-notable topic. If we were to get rid of the PROD mechanism, we'd be dealing with even MORE at AfD. Anyway, that's my two cents. Thanks for your contributions to Wikipedia! Waggie (talk) 19:54, 13 June 2020 (UTC)

I've also seen many examples where people ask months or years later for crap articles to be re-instated, and then they just get AfDed straight away. Which is why I think it's a waste of time, and in my opinion, people should just use AFD straight away instead, so that the crap stays deleted. Joseph2302 (talk) 20:17, 13 June 2020 (UTC)
