Information icon Hello, Josephhearnshaw. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. ThaddeusSholto (talk) 19:46, 22 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. No COI. Josephhearnshaw (talk) 20:02, 22 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Please note that conflict of interest includes writing about current and former work colleagues, even if you're not being paid for the work or for the writing. I'd strongly suggest that you move Emily Darlington back to Draft:Emily Darlington, because in its present state it would not survive a deletion discussion: please see WP:NPOL. Thanks, Wikishovel (talk) 06:55, 23 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
To reiterate, I am aware of what a COI is and do not have one.
Emily is a cabinet member of MKCC. There seems to be plenty coverage if searching the news for her, let alone the fact she’s appeared in news TV several times. Presumably, therefore - that needs citing? Josephhearnshaw (talk) 16:25, 23 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You are both members of the same city council, from the same political party. That's an obvious COI. Are you going to move it to draft? Wikishovel (talk) 16:35, 23 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
If you believe I have a COI, can you please add that to it. Thanks. Josephhearnshaw (talk) 16:39, 23 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
