Thank you for coming to my talk page! I have been learning the Editing system at Wikipedia through sandbox and going into random pages to look what is there. But I sure will look at the tea house Josh cant edit at all (talk) 01:27, 16 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Just a quick note[edit]

A lot of the edits you're marking as minor are on the border between minor and not-minor, and some are definitely not minor. Please check out Help:Minor edits, which says A minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. So something like this edit, which changed the displayed name of an entity, should not be marked as minor. (Also, why did you remove those {{nowrap}} templates?)

It never hurts to err on the side of not marking as minor, especially when you're a new editor. When in doubt, best to leave the box unchecked. Thanks. :) -- Tamzin (she/they, no pref.) | o toki tawa mi. 22:50, 16 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about the minor thing, but about the nowwrap stuff I don’t understand why they would block the links of the predecessor and why they would just link republic instead of “republic of China” if they already shortened it Josh cant edit at all (talk) 00:16, 17 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm. I don't know a huge amount about infobox formatting, or about the specifics of our style guide for infoboxes, so I don't want to give you the wrong advice. I suggest you ask at The Teahouse, to make sure you're not doing anything that goes against our style guide. (And yes, if you didn't know, we have a style guide, called the Manual of Style. On answering questions at the Teahouse[edit]

Hi, Josh. Glad to see you're settling in here! However, I wanted to share a concern about your recent answers at the Teahouse. This answer was bad advice. The article showed a number of issues, and AdmiralEek had already explained that to the person who posted. You're going to need a lot more experience before you can conclusively tell someone that their draft doesn't have problems; you especially shouldn't be saying that when a more experienced editor has already said that it does. Here, meanwhile, your advice was correct, but was just repeating what two editors had already said.

There's lots of experienced editors who volunteer at the Teahouse to give advice. Given that your account is less than a week old, I really don't think you have the necessary level of experience yet to be helping people.
