WP:Comedy

[edit]

Seeing that you like (stupid me!) love M*A*S*H, Are You Being Served, and Seinfeld, I suggest WikiProject Comedy. Basketball110 03:12, 17 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Can't get diff on possibly vandalised image page?

[edit]

An editor who has vandalised many pages in the last few minutes has edited an image page, but I can't tell whether that edit was legitimate or not because I can't get a diff. It was uploaded in 2010, but the only edit appearing in the page history was made a few minutes ago and was marked as a new page. I am not very observant, so I might be missing something. The image in question (I had to use an external link to prevent the image from showing up on my talk page) and the user in question. Thank you. Joshua1995 (talk) 02:13, 2 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You can link to an image without displaying it by adding a leading colon: [[:File:Vladimir Putin at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2009 002.jpg]] will give File:Vladimir Putin at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2009 002.jpg.
You cannot get a diff for the very first version of any page; that's apparently deemed unnecessary because obviously the entire content is the diff. Here it's a little more complicated because a large part of the content is actually imported from the Commons.
The content Benscott7 created was simply "this section is no longer empty"; I deleted that. Thanks for bringing it up! Huon (talk) 03:07, 2 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
