Welcome![edit]

Hello, Jovanmrls120, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Shalor and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Taoism[edit]

Hi! I saw that you edited this article with this edit. The edit was reverted by Epinoia, who noted that this was an anonymous self-published source that didn't cite any sources. In other words, there's no way to tell who wrote this blog or what type of research they did - if any. Upon reviewing the home address, it looks like this was something created by someone at a community college in Nova Scotia. So in order for this to be usable you'd have to find out who exactly wrote this and also show where this site is routinely seen as a reliable source by other reliable sources, especially academic and scholarly ones. Offhand I didn't really see where this specific source is routinely cited as a reliable source.

Be very careful when looking up content on the Internet, as you can't guarantee who has written the source. In many cases - even with universities hosting the content - you can't guarantee that the person who made the material has done proper research, as it could just be a student assignment that hasn't really had any editorial oversight - just a teacher who gave an off-site grade. A much stronger source would be something like these books, which were put out by a university press that has a relatively stringent editorial and research process.
