Minor edits and edit summaries

[edit]

Hi. Accurate edit summaries are essential to collaborative editing on wikipedia. In particular, you should only mark an edit as minor if it is a truly minor edit (uncontroversial formatting change, typo fixes, non-semantic rephrasing etc.). Marking a content addition as "minor" and describing it as "formatting" as you did here [1] makes it very difficult to quickly review edits and understand how articles are changing. Cheers and happy editing. Glaucus (talk) 18:32, 25 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
