Requirements for other site[edit]

Does this require the Usability extension to work? I'd like to get this working on a wiki that I work on. Jesseissocool74 10:51, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The script only needs jQuery (defined as "$j" but this could be changed easily if needed) and some icons from Commons. It does not use any other modules like from here: mw:ResourceLoader/Default modules. — AlexSm 14:00, 8 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Visual Editor[edit]

Hi. Could this script be updated to work better with the VisualEditor? (now in beta - Enable at Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-editing->Enable VisualEditor - only working in Mainspace and Userspace currently).

Much thanks :) –Quiddity (talk) 00:26, 20 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

See File:6tabs and VisualEditor bug - screenshot.png for a demonstration of the current bug.
Most of the time, I get the top version, where the standard page-edit link appears off to the right (circled in red).
Very occasionally, I'll get the bottom version, where everything displays as it should.
(Using Firefox v.21, in Ubuntu). Hope that helps. –Quiddity (talk) 20:24, 25 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

IE11[edit]

Just reporting -- works in IE11 as well. Eman235/talk 03:16, 8 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
