License tagging for Image:Team Weasel.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Team Weasel.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 20:52, 17 April 2006 (UTC)

Regarding the article Team Weasel, I am sorry - the article makes no claim about any achievements of note by this club, or any other reason for significance, so I have speedily deleted it. - Mike Rosoft 21:00, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Albumcover.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Albumcover.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Fair use rationale for Image:New Anberlin.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:New Anberlin.jpg. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 22:19, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use Image:New Anberlin.jpg[edit]

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:New Anberlin.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Also note in particular that a fair-use claim of cover art should be associated with the appropriate album article rather than the general band article. Image copyright problem with Image:New Anberlin.jpg[edit]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:New Anberlin.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. --pbroks13talk? 19:48, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Anberlin 2012.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Anberlin 2012.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Anberlin 2012.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 22:18, 6 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright violations[edit]

You uploaded File:AnberlinLive2011.jpg. This is a modified version of this Flickr image. Your filename claims it was taken in 2011, but in fact it is taken in 2009, and your description claimed you took it yourself, but we have no evidence that this user is the same person as "Always Sunday Photography" on Flickr. If you are Always Sunday Photography, and truly wish to release this image under a free license, you must edit the license settings on the image as described here. I deleted your other image of Amberlin, File:AnberlinAcoustic2012.jpg, because it contained similar claims that you took it yourself, which I no longer find credible. If you did take it yourself, you should be able to supply a high-resolution version with complete EXIF data to dc@moonflare.com to verify your ownership. I will not distribute the image. If you did not in fact take either of these images, but merely claimed you did, be aware that such deceptive claims expose the project and our content reusers to substantial legal liability, and you will be blocked if you continue this behavior.
