If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Juan rhyme brothers requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Writ Keeper 14:18, 30 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Contesting deletion[edit]

Hey, Juanrhymefan, I just wanted to let you know about a few things. First of all, you should know that pages with speedy deletion tags aren't automatically removed by a robot or anything; an administrator still needs to review the nomination and then make a decision, so you don't have to worry about it getting deleted without comment. Given that, removing the tag isn't the appropriate way to say that you disagree with the deletion; what you can do instead is write a note on Talk:Juan rhyme brothers, the article's talk page, saying why you think it shouldn't be deleted. The admin who reviews the article will see your note and take it into consideration before a decision is made.

However, you should know that Wikipedia doesn't accept articles about just anything; there's a minimum threshold that new articles need to meet that we call notability. The exact meaning of notability depends on the subject matter (there are specific guidelines about bands and musical artists here), but the absolute bare minimum for any Wikipedia article is called the general notability guideline, which says that a subject must have significant coverage in multiple, independent reliable sources. If you want to contest the deletion successfully, I think that your best bet is to find any reliable sources that you can discussing this band in depth and add them to the article.

Finally, I'd like to say: don't worry about it! Lots of people get their first article deleted; it's no big deal! As long as you learn from it, nobody will hold it against you. Wikipedia is a pretty complicated place, but once you get the hang of it, it can be pretty fun, too. If you have any questions about the above, feel free to ask me on my talk page, or you can ask the Teahouse, which is a place for new users to get friendly answers to any questions they have. Thanks! The article Juan Rhyme Brothers has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable group

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Welcome to Wikipedia. Constructive contributions are appreciated, but, in this recent edit to Juan Rhyme Brothers, you removed Articles for deletion notices from articles or removed other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates. This makes it difficult to establish consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. Noom talk stalk 23:24, 31 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

September 2012[edit]

Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages. Doing so won't stop the discussion from taking place. You are, however, welcome to comment about the proposed deletion on the appropriate page. Thank you. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 03:55, 1 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop removing Articles for deletion notices or comments from articles and Articles for deletion pages as you did with this edit to Juan Rhyme Brothers. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing. Mr. Vernon (talk) 04:42, 1 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. The next time you remove Articles for deletion notices or comments from articles and Articles for deletion pages, as you did at Juan Rhyme Brothers, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. This goes for the AfD listings as well. Stop it now. Mr. Vernon (talk) 04:44, 1 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of one week for removing deletion notices after being told numerous times not to. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.
