Hey,

I dont want to sound like some kind of anti cookie cutter Grinch, but you are not supposed to link to personal blogs as external links. "Bots" will flag them as invalid, delete them, as pushing a personal agenda (Bots don't care if it is harmless "how to" blogs). Keep in mind what the scope of Wikipedia is. Articles (and external links) are to describe and define a subject. They are not "how to guides" nor should they point a reader to personal blogs giving how to lessons. It may sound silly given the subject, but imagine if everyone with a blog decided to link Wiki articles to their personal blogs. There have to be lines drawn, and these links cross it. Please don't take the deletions personally, and please feel free to contribute in other ways (since you clearly know your stuff LOL). If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Wikipedia is a confusing maze of rules and guidelines, but they are in place for a purpose. I hope this makes sense, and you understand that these edits are not meant to be rude. Thank you so much, Jackinterweb, for explaining, and for doing so in such a kind and considerate way.

All the best, CLKL

Ditto....[edit]

You will quickly find that you are outnumbered, your articles have no revelence to cookie cutters. There are probably 1000 articles online that will show you how to make a cookie cutter, infact probably 1000+ more revelent and more accreditied than yours. If it was revelent to wikipedia how cookie cutters were made, a external link to go to a cookie cutter manufacturer, CopperGifts.com, AuntChick.com, Wilton's etc. This is third time you have put your links up there, if you do it again you will be violiation of the Wikipedia:Three-revert_rule and be banned or locked out. 75.110.59.2 (talk) 23:01, 25 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WP:Bite is something you might familiarize yourself with, along with the application of the 3RR rule. She made good faith edits, I deleted the first two BUT I failed to remove the third. At no time was she making disruptive edits, vandalising or engaging in edit warring. She is new to WP and it was clear case of rookie mistakes. Your were excessive and unduly harsh in your response to a newcomer's blunder. Please work on being more understanding before lecturing someone else on their perceived behavior.
