However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at User talk:Dougweller, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. In particular, you removed another user's post when adding a (frankly) unnecessary bunch of #s. If you observe the format used by all the other posts, you'd see that new sections are created by placing two equal signs (==) before and after the section title, as at the top of this section.
