Please refer to 'cleanup' section at Talk:List of Ayatollahs for the criteria for inclusion at List of Ayatollahs. The criteria is neither full-proof nor conclusive and is open to change. Regarding names from India of living Ayatollahs in the list, there was only one until very recently that of Syed Aqeel-ul-Gharavi, name of Syed Hamidul Hasan has been recently added to it. When you say "Out of the two names one has no reference to the title", I suppose you mean Syed Aqeel-ul-Gharavi we had some references for it on his page but I think now they are turning out to be dead links, so I added new section with a live link. Also, the reference for Syed Hamidul Hasan is too weak (a scan copy of Urdu newspaper, which may have a typo error), and as per my knowledge until very recently he has not been reffered as Aytollah unless he has atained level of ijtihad very recently (and belive me I am from around Lucknow where Syed Hamidul Hasan lives). And be sure, I have nothing against Syed Hamidul Hasan, as a proof you just need to check history of Syed Hamidul Hasan's article where you'll find that I have been meticoulosly reverting edits which said that he is Kharidul Hasan.--Sayed Mohammad Faiz Haidertcs 12:23, 6 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
