Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give Oscar Rivera a different title by copying its content and pasting it into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is considered undesirable because it splits the page history which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other articles that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. Oscar López Rivera[edit]

I have had to revert your recreation of the page Oscar López Rivera. If you want the article Oscar Rivera to be moved to this name then you need to request a move. The instructions are here. If you need any help please ask. If you continue to restore the page etc that can be regarded as vandalism and may result in you being blocked. Hi, I undid the cut and paste and requested the move. Sorry, I am new and did not understand the process. As I explained in the talk page, the proposed change is really based on the standard way Spanish names are listed. Justiciasocial (talk) 13:07, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've now performed the move after being confused myself due to the many redirects and reverts that were there. Basically we keep the dit history and use the 'move' button. --Tikiwont (talk) 13:10, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've answered on my talk page. Please do not commit copyright violations!--Tikiwont (talk) 13:31, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Carlos Torres[edit]

As there is already a Carlos Alberto Torres then a new entry would have to be something like Carlos Alberto Torres (prisoner). However this person must either have a page or also feature somewhere else on Wikipedia. Details about which redlinks are allowed on disambiguation pages are at MOS:DABRL. If he doesn't already exist then I (and any other editor) would remove the entry as there is no proof of notability. I see he is listed at this page Fuerzas Armadas de Liberación Nacional (Puerto Rico) so if you edit that page to point to Carlos Alberto Torres (prisoner) it will then be acceptable to add the page to Carlos Torres.
