"Notability" and Wikipedia articles[edit]
Hi Jyuhasrosemount,
Welcome to Wikipedia. I see that you've added yourself to several "notable people" lists in articles (like Edina High School) recently. I've reverted these additions, and I wanted to explain why. The first reason is that, typically, lists of notable alumni, residents, etc., are restricted to people who are already the subject of a Wikipedia biography. (You will notice on the lists you edited that almost everyone else who appears is a "blue link", like David Bloom, while there is no article in Wikipedia titled Jonathan Yuhas.) The second reason is that adding material about yourself is a kind of conflict of interest. You can read the Wikipedia guidelines about conflicts of interest by clicking on this link. As you can see, it's not strictly forbidden to make such edits, but it is strongly discouraged. The usual way to deal with this is using "edit requests", which are described at this link. I would encourage you to use edit requests in the future rather than directly making edits about yourself.
