@Willbb234:Hi, thanks for the comments. I'm currently working on the article. I'm not overly familiar with all the Wikipedia policies, but I try to abide by them when I can. Is the deletion suggestion due to the fact that the article is presently just a stub? In terms of notability, all of Holdsworth's albums have separate articles, so leaving one out would seem inconsistent. Furthermore, the release of previously unreleased material would seem to be notable too. Also, the fact that it was the last studio album in his name published in his lifetime would seem notable. Additionally, there was some controversy surrounding the release. I therefore would argue that an article is in order. How would you suggest to proceed given my position? Hi there, sorry for the delay. I will give you a full answer when I have a desktop available. Basically, what you need to read is WP:NALBUM and WP:GNG. Thanks, Willbb234Talk (please {{ping}} me in replies) 16:06, 14 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
After a WP:BEFORE, I decided that the article didn't meet WP:GNG - I couldn't find sufficient reliable sources on the internet to meet GNG. I also considered WP:NALBUM, however, I don't believe it meets any of the bullet points when you click on the link. Bullet point number 1 reiterates what GNG is, whilst the other bullet points are clear in their outlines and I don't believe the article met any of these. I hope that helps and answers the question you had. If you have anymore questions, or want a better answer, then please do contact me. @Willbb234:Thanks for taking the time to look into this so thoroughly. Reviewing the guidelines you refer to, it's quite clear that the album in question does not meet the criteria in question for an article - at present. I must confess to finding this a bit perplexing though, as the subject's bio article contains a full paragraph in the lead with so much name-dropping (and thus "notability") that it's embarrassing, yet the last original work of a major artist in his lifetime is not found notable enough for a separate article. But I guess I'll have to dig up some approved sources. Thanks again.KaldeFakta68 (talk) 22:00, 14 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
