Category:Self-hating Jews[edit]

Hi, I gather it was you who created Category:Self-hating Jews a couple of days ago. I nominated it for deletion Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2009 August 28#Category:Self-hating Jews and it was deleted, and it shouldn't really be re-created. You could take it to Wikipedia:Deletion review if you wish. Rd232 talk 13:42, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Albert Siegfried Bettelheim requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. andy (talk) 17:27, 1 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Note: I have removed this[1] article's speedy deletion tag to temporarily hold it and allow further review of your article. It has a lot of detail and is well-organized for something new... speedy deletion is heavily over-used by many editors, and with this much to start with I'm sure it'll end up okay. Your main goal is going to need to be finding third-party reliable sources and citing them in the article-- I see you've authored a number of other articles so I'm sure you know the drill. You have many terms linked within Wikipedia-- which is ok!-- but you will need outside peer-reviewed and historical references to prove notability. The cleanup tag is just a general note that you have work to do and I'll surely be checking back to see how you're progressing. If there's anything I can do for you, please leave me a note on my talk page (click →) Cheers!~ daTheisen(talk) 23:56, 1 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

November 2009[edit]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Albert Siegfried Bettelheim. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. andy (talk) 17:30, 1 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from pages that you have created yourself. If you continue, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. andy (talk) 17:41, 1 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please add to "request for deletion" --Kaniczer (talk) 17:41, 1 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • If you wish to retain the page you should add a {{hangon}} tag to it and give your reasons on the talk page. Otherwise it will probably be deleted very soon. andy (talk) 17:43, 1 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
