Changes to the Kappa Sigma page[edit]
I appreciate your concern about the Kappa Sigma page and am *very* glad that you proposed the change through the proper channels. The inclusion of the K--- S--- organization on the Kappa Sigma page was not done from a copy of the KS ritual. However, it was included because it *is* referenced to what is considered the best source on Fraternity and Sororities, Baird's Manual of American College Fraternities. Google Books has copies of most of the editions of Baird's Manual of American College Fraternities prior to when they've gone out of copyright (1923) and the 1898 version clearly talks about the K--- S--- organization. See Talk:Kappa_Sigma#Baird.27s_editions_.26_the_Caduceus. for a review of what is in each. It really does appear that prior to about 1910, the organization was more open as to the relation with the K--- S--- organization, however I think that part of that is that it would not have occurred to the Kappa Sigma brothers of the 19th century that issues of the Caduceus would ever be in a situation where they could be accessed by *anyone* in 30 seconds. I believe this would be true in regards to just about any Fraternity.
Just as much as I've supported the inclusion of this organization on the page from a referenced work, the meaning of AEKDB was added many times and deleted as being *no reference* from a publicly published source. The user who you have commented on his page was *particularly* obnoxious about it. See the history of his talk page. Note, I am a member of a Greek Letter Fraternity, and in fact on the National History Committee for that Fraternity.
I'd love to work with you to discuss how the Kappa Sigma page and the related pages can be improved. However, you may feel more comfortable talking immediately with User:Enos733 who is a Kappa Sigma brother and an experienced Wikipedian.Naraht (talk) 19:25, 18 November 2010 (UTC)
