Hello, KassideSE and welcome to Wikipedia! It appears you are participating in a class project. If you haven't done so already, we encourage you to go through our training for students. Go through our online training for students

If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Please also read this helpful advice for students.

Before you create an article, make sure you understand what kind of articles are accepted here. Remember: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and while many topics are encyclopedic, some things are not.

Your instructor or professor may wish to set up a course page, and if your class doesn't already have one please tell your instructor about that. It is highly recommended that you place this text: {{Educational assignment}} on the talk page of any articles you are working on as part of your Wikipedia-related course assignment. This will let other editors know this article is a subject of an educational assignment and aid your communication with them.

We hope you like it here and encourage you to stay even after your assignment is finished! Aspening (talk) 01:21, 16 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hey what's up @Rosh1627:

Peer Review - Mason Bissada

[edit]

Lead I found the lead does a good job of representing the article as a whole. I understand what the topic is and the importance of it. It reflects the most important information, such as the themes of the poems and the relevance of the topic in today's society. If anything, perhaps you could dedicate a section or paragraph to the collection's cultural impact, since you reference in the lead that it can be found on syllabuses.

Structure The sections are presented in the correct order IMO. Each section is the perfect length for its importance to the overall article. Perhaps the paragraphs after the list of poems could be taken out of the anthology section and placed in its own section (i.e. plot, subject matter etc.).

Balance/Neutrality The only thing I found that might not be considered neutral is this sentence under "Duffy's Life" : "It can be argued that Duffy exemplifies the different roles of women from different perspectives." Perhaps find a scholarly article that makes this argument and then cite that article.

Sources I could be wrong, but it appears that most of the sourcing comes from other Wikipedia articles. Seems good to me!

Review The article is very good at explaining the subject to someone who has never heard of the poems or its author (like me). I was very impressed by your diction; it sounded scholarly and professional, like an actual encyclopedia article. I think a section on either the collection's cultural impact or its critical response would give the article a bit more scope. The way your article is organized is exactly how I hope mine will turn out when it's done! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Masonbissada (talkcontribs) 21:53, 16 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
