Hello Katmanblue. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "The Island of Doctor Moron".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/The Island of Doctor Moron}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 08:59, 3 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

the island of doctor moron - the film

[edit]

Can someone help me please? In good faith, I have written an article on our project. It is significant as it is the first and only film of its type to have been produced in Australia to date. All I want to do is launch the article and move on. We already have a huge amount of media on our project so I don't need Wiki to promote it. I am merely doing it to serve the Wiki cause. I really don't know what to do now. How do I actually launch the article???????? Katmanblue (talk) 10:18, 12 March 2017 (UTC) Katmanblue (talk) 02:39, 21 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You might be able to find someone to help you at Wikipedia:WikiProject Film. Just post a message at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Film and ask for assistance. As I wrote in my Teahouse response, this draft is not close to being ready for article status and needs quite a bit of work. Moreover, your above post, particularly the part All I want to do is launch the article and move on, kind of give the impression you might not get what Wikipedia is about. Wikipedia wants editors to be here to help build the encyclopedia; it does not want editors to be here for other reasons. A film is not necessarily Wikipedia notable because it is the first and only film of its type unless it has received significant coverage in multiple independent reliable sources clearly stating such a thing.
You might also want to take a look at Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide for reference. Writing a Wikipedia article about any subject is hard, but writing about something you're closely connected to can be even harder because your natural bias towards the subject matter will tend to creep in even unintentionally. COI editing is not expressly prohibited, but it is something highly discouraged. I suggest that when you feel your draft is ready for submission that you submit it via Wikipedia:Articles for creation because it will give experienced editors the chance to review the draft and offer suggestions on how it might be improved. I have added a {{AFC submission/draft}} to the top of the page. When you feel the article is draft for review, just click on the blue "Submit your draft for review" button. -- Marchjuly (talk) 07:15, 23 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
