Speedy deletion of Anne Blair Brown[edit]
A tag has been placed on Anne Blair Brown requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. - The article lacks *independent* sources to demonstrate Ms. Brown's notability per WP:BIO. Her own website, and the sites of galleries that sell her work, aren't independent. Rather than repost the article, I've moved the deleted content to your userspace at User:Katrocity/Anne Blair Brown. If you can supply reliable independent sources that show her notability, then you can move the page back to the main article space. Thanks, NawlinWiki (talk) 18:37, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
- There are still a couple of problems. First, the sources are still almost entirely galleries selling Ms. Brown's work, which are not independent. The couple of independent sources you cited are general references, with no specific links to any discussion of Ms. Brown. Second, the article is written in the style of a promotional/sales piece rather than an objective biography. It refers to her as "Anne" throughout, and includes language like "A former chef, Anne has a passion for cafes, restaurants and city life. Whether it is waiters tending to patrons, bartenders cleaning after a busy shift or people just walking the street, her work reflects her observations of the people and places she visits." How is it neutral that "Anne has a passion" for things? More importantly, how can that be verified by a neutral source? Please look at WP:NPOV and WP:V. NawlinWiki (talk) 14:06, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
