Reverted your edits

[edit]

Hi! I'm Manishearth, one of the volunteers here at Wikipedia.
As part of the ongoing WP:IEP cleanup, I have checked your article and, unfortunately, I have had to revert your edits. The reasons follow:

  • Textbookish: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a textbook, and must read as such. Your edits to the article were organized rather like a textbook, and sounded like one, too. Pick up an encyclopedia and you will see the difference. Then, try to make your edits more encyclopedia-ish.
  • Grammar/sentence construction: Unfortunately, your edits had a vast amount of grammatical errors, mainly sentence construction and capitalization/spellings. Since edits you make go live immediately, you must make sure that they are grammatically correct before saving. This was my main reason for reverting, as I did not want such a profusion of grammatical errors to be live.
  • Possible plagiarism: Since the edits were textbookish, I felt that they might have been loosely paraphrased from a textbook. This is a form of Plagiarism and is not allowed on Wikipedia. Please do not do this the next time.

Your case actually isn't too bad. If you fix the grammar issue, and try to reduce the textbookishness of the page, it should be fine (If it was copied from a textbook, you'll have to do it all over again, though). This time, make your edits in a sandbox and get them verified with me or an ambassador before you make them live. I'll create a sandbox for you with the page before my revert in it. You may work on that. ManishEarthTalkStalk 10:19, 5 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I have placed the content of the page in this sandbox I created for you. This is the content of the page before'" I reverted it. Let me know on my talk page when you think it's ready! ManishEarthTalkStalk 10:25, 5 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
