AMA[edit]

Hello, you are receiving this message because your name is on the list of members of the Association of Members' Advocates. There is a poll being held at Wikipedia talk:Association of Members' Advocates for approval of a proposal for the revitalisation of the association. You are eligible to vote and your vote and input are welcome. Izehar 22:23, 6 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

AMA poll[edit]

Keith,

Isn't this poll absolutely ridiculous? Who are all these people, where did they come from and what are they doing? These Izehar and Gator characters, no matter their intentions, have crafted their own proposal and the voting procedure for it seemingly on their own and are now trying to bull it through! How are we going to reconcile this with AMA's previous set-up?

By the way, Alex mentioned not long ago on the talk page that he wasn't active much anymore with AMA and that he thought it was time for an election. Since it seems that one way or another that day is coming soon, would you mind if I put your name forward?

Yours,

Wally 01:26, 11 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I would be grossly unsuited to such a role, as I think Sam would be also. Both of us are too contentious and pig-headed. You (and Neigel as well, considering that suggestion) would be effective leaders, though — not only have you both experience and no record of contentious or unproductive behavior, but you both are good at cooperation.
Guy Finley might be good, too — I've worked with him in the past and he's a good guy with his head (and his heart) in the right place. Wally 19:15, 11 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, check out my alternative proposal on the AMA talk page. What do you think? Wally 19:34, 11 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the support, Keith. From the initial votes it seems likely to make it. Once the nomination opens, I intend to nominate you and Guy Finley, if he accepts and if you've no objection. Perhaps the time is here to write your election manifesto? ;) Wally 07:27, 15 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Keith, do you think it would be a good idea to send a mass message to the AMA? We've nothing approaching consensus on enough scale. I'm not sure how a mass message is affected also, but I wanted to take your advice first. Also, see Guy Finley's hat toss on the talk page. A bit early, I fear. Thank you![edit]

I'm really glad to hear you wanted to nominate me on the AMA election! Thanks! But I really don't have any interest in getting involved in that for many reasons. First, I'm not sure I have enough time for being Coordinator. Second, I don't think I'm the best to lead the AMA in such a mess; maybe in the future when things get calm and after the new schema proved to work. Third, it would be pretty unfair that I, who called twice for elections, candidate for being coordinator. Hope you understand me --Neigel von Teighen 16:35, 16 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Just a note from the outgoing AMA Coordinator[edit]

Just want to let you know that I have just resigned as Coordinator of the AMA opening the way for an election. If you want to see my statement check the Coodinator's page: Wikipedia:AMA Coordinator. Alex756 18:58, 16 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: AMA vs AC[edit]

I know, to have Ambi running for our coordination is somewhat uncomfortable, but I hope that, if she's elected, AMA won't get into a vasal of the ArbCom. I do think we need more connection with arbitrators, but she seems to be too close to ArbCom, isn't it? Let's see what happens... Anyway, you have my support. --Neigel von Teighen 21:02, 24 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Me too, now put up your statement so Hipocrite can't criticize you for it anymore :) .Gator (talk) 22:00, 26 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

AMA Coordinator Election[edit]

AMA results?[edit]

Hello Keith , Any news of the definitive AMA 2006 Coordinator Election results? Wikityke 01:22, 20 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thanks for your reply on my talk page, Keith. Wikityke 22:42, 22 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Results[edit]

No, we brought him in specifically and he made a decision, though along the same lines. Consensus dictated that it be accepted. I encouraged Ambi to call on you as a Deputy Coordinator. Wally 00:49, 23 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

AMA Roll Call[edit]

There is currently an AMA Roll Call going on. Please visit the page and sign your name to indicate whether or not you're still active. :-) אמר Steve Caruso (desk/poll) 18:15, 13 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, you are receiving this message because you have listed yourself as an active member of WP:AMA. If you aren't currently accepting inquiries for AMA, or if you have resigned, please de-list yourself from Wikipedia:AMA Members. If you are still active, please consider tending to any new requests that may appear on Category:AMA Requests for Assistance. We're going to put AMA on wheels. :) Sorry for the template spamming - we're just trying to update our records, after we had a huge backlog earlier in the week (if you've been taking cases, then sorry, and please ignore this :)). Again, sorry, and thanks! Martinp23 21:05, 22 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
