Hi Peter. First, thanks for your numerous contributions to the transit pages in Montreal. To answer your question, ALL terminuses (termini??) are under the responsibility of the AMT. This includes, Panama, Cote-Vertu, Henri-Bourassa, Radisson and all the others listed here

Thanks for your answers, I'll make the necessary modifocations & I'll see where I can fit in your new template. The reason that I was able to make all these contributions is that I live in Chomedey. BTW, personally I prefer "termini".

"The commuter train fare system is based on the assumption that the user is travelling to or from downtown. There are no reductions, for example, for travel between zone 2 and 5 or exclusively in zone 3."

This kind of fare structure does nothing to encourage greater use of public transit. The AMT is possibly the only transit authority on the face of this earth to commit this kind of a blunder. Correct me if you can. For comparison in practice see The West Coast Express and West Coast Express regular fares and GO Transit fares

December 2006[edit]

I doubt that the 935 Trainbus Blainville / Centreville ever reached the (Guy-Concordia) metro station. But where does it end? I seem to recall that the downtown terminus was changed at least once. Peter Horn 23:41, 24 December 2006 (UTC)

These three are so close together, and mutually accessible, that I would sugest that in future these three be combined in one article with three #REDIRECT pages to suit. What do you think?

Yes, as a matter of fact I do remember that temporary train service that ran from near the Du Collège metro station to Repentigny with an intermediate station near the Sauvé metro station. Out of curiosity I took it once for the full length. At this time I would have to ask the AMT for details, the year (some 20 years ago?) and etc. The reason for this service was the extensive work being done on the Metropolitan. Terminus Le Carrefour (AMT) & Montmorency (AMT)[edit]

Terminus Le Carrefour (AMT) & Montmorency (AMT) need to be revised when the latter will be put in service because I expect that all intermunicipal and intercity bus service will be transferred there from the former. Peter Horn 17:40, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

Voyageur bus routes[edit]

Voyageur Colonial Bus Lines "Martin continues to own Voyageur Colonial, although the company no longer (?) runs bus lines. It retains ownership of the bus terminals in Ottawa and Montreal."

Please verify. As far as I am aware two routes from Montreal to Ottawa (One south and one north of the Ottawa River) are still run under the Voyageur name.

While it is true that whatever is left of the rail between Beauharnois and Adirondack belongs to CSX. The tracks were abandoned almost 10 years ago and has been ripped up in many locations. The connection to CP was destroyed about 2 years ago [3]. The Right of way still exits, [4], but clearly, there are no longer any tracks. With the reconstruction of Highway 132 about 4 years ago, the level crossing was removed.

I have been out of the country for two weeks in Zihuatanejo, Guerrero, Mexico for the past two weeks and only got back this Friday morning so that's why I did not reply sooner. To get the dates for the VIA train you might phone VIA;s PR. For the history of Amtrak (Adirondack) train you might E-mail [service@lob.amtrak.com] or try Adirondack (Amtrak). What do the Aldershot (GO station) and the Fallowfield railway station have to do with the Dorval railway station and Gare Centrale (Montreal)??? How does one get rid of those? Peter Horn 03:23, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

The reason why Aldershot and Fallowfield are there is because they are technically the terminus of some trains (one I think) on the Montreal/Toronto and Montreal/Ottawa route. I would be in favor of switching that back to Toronto and Ottawa as they are the main destinations. I just don't know how to access that box. Alex@MTRL 03:49, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Peter, what is the conflict?

You would need to look at both the history of Terminus Panama (AMT) and Honoré-Beaugrand (Montreal Metro) as well as the history of List of malls in Montreal, Champlain Mall and Centre Champlain and look at the revisions that I made to all of these and you'll see what I mean. How does one copy the following image, and others, from the French article into the English one? I tried, with this one, but got nowhere. Translation of the captions is the least of my problems.

On second thought Jarry Stadium, a literal translation of Stade Jarry, would have been more appropriate. It is more ellegant and would also have preserved the distinction between the stadium and the urban park. See fr:Jarry#Toponyme. Peter Horn 13:28, 4 April 2007 (UTC).[reply]
