Welcome to Wikipedia. I see that you have made an edit to Vale Royal Abbey, changing "stockbroker" to "gas engineer and manufacturer and father of Edith Pretty of Sutton Hoo fame". The original reference to stockbroker is supported by the citation at the end of the sentence. Is your edit also supported by this citation? Stockbrokers and gas engineers[edit]

Hi! I saw that you'd changed the job of one of the owners of Vale Royal Abbey from stockbroker to gas engineer and manufacturer. The current cited work definitely has him as a stockbroker, so we need a citation for him being a scientist and industrialist instead. I'm going to change it to the neutral 'businessman' for the moment until we can find a another reference for him. Thanks, and yes I can provide references, not least Wikipedia itself 'http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edith_Pretty' and a published book about Edith Pretty by Mary Skelcher and Chris Durrant (ISBN 0-9554725-0-4). I'll read the pages on 'Citing Sources' and expand on my edit.
