Some Lovely Islands

[edit]

Hi, welcome to Wikipedia. I have reverted your addition of mentions of Leslie Thomas's book Some Lovely Islands to the articles on four of the islands that describes. This is on the basis that this book is insufficiently significant to mention in these articles. I am sure that each of these islands is mentioned in several books, but it would not helpful to our readers to mention them all. You might add a description of this book in the Leslie Thomas article, but I think it would probably be overweight there as this does not appear to be one his more significant books. Thank you for your reply on my talk page. It is conventional to reply in the same place as the original posting, as it is clearer if the discussion is all in one place. I still think that we should not mention this book in the main text of the articles on the islands, but I think it could usefully be added in Further reading sections, see MOS:FURTHER. I suggest this format:
  • Thomas, Leslie (1971). "Gugh". Some lovely islands. Pan Books. ISBN 978-0330026260.
Replace "Gugh" with the name of the chapter. Verbcatcher (talk) 02:52, 5 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
