Park Avenue Tunnel and Viaduct (railroad)

[edit]

@Tdorante10, DanTD, Epicgenius, and : I have created a draft to improve upon the existing Park Avenue Tunnel (railroad) article. First of all, I don't know what the title should be. It is crazy that there is no article for the Viaduct. I don't think keeping the article with the current title makes sense, since it will cover the viaduct. In addition, help would be appreciated on improving my draft. It is 99% history, and it could use a description section detailing the modern layout of the structure, the services that utilize it, and a map. More information is needed concerning modifications made for Grand Central Terminal. I have had trouble adding stuff from there to here due to the use of Harvard references. In addition, I need a source that details the moving of the portal from 96th to 97th Street. Finally, any additional information on the period after electrification and the recent rehabilitation would be appreciated. Thanks. --Kew Gardens 613 (talk) 01:39, 2 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Kew Gardens 613: I'm surprised that this topic wasn't covered as well. Just a thought but maybe we can make the title about the Park Avenue main line of the New York Central Railroad, so like Park Avenue main line. I agree that we should add a description, so perhaps we can add a station listing, service patterns, and track map. Hopefully we can make this a DYK or Good Article. epicgenius (talk) 02:16, 2 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
