49th Armored Division[edit]

Are you sure about the 4-112th Armor being in Dallas in 1989? This National Guard source says: "Headquarters, 4th Battalion, 112th Armor, 49th Armored Division, Denison, Texas". I have updated the 49th and 50th Armored divisions graphics. Will now update the 49th map and move 1-112 to Dallas. Thank you for your additions, improvements, and corrections. I appreciate your calm and cooperative manner. Best regards, noclador (talk) 22:28, 2 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • @Noclador: The biography is at odds with the lineage for 3rd Brigade, 49th Armored Division on p. 386 of Armies, Corps, Divisions and Separate Brigades, where it is noted that HHC of the 4th Battalion, 112th Armored was at Dallas since it assumed that designation. The biography notes that the officer was commander of Detachment 1 of the company, which could very well be accurate as the Detachment could have been at Denison and the rest of the company at Dallas. Often National Guard units had detachments of companies stationed in different towns.
  • Also, did you find the 1988 New Jersey Adjutant General report online? I've only been able to find a snippet view of it.Kges1901 (talk) 23:50, 2 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Excellent find about the 4-112th Armor being 100% in Dallas. Well done. Changing the map now. noclador (talk) 11:12, 3 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I just noticed that you've claimed credit for destubbing this article. But it's been a start for almost a decade, so what's your reasoning?--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 00:13, 13 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • I asked the contest creator if articles that had 1.5 kb or less of readable prose that were rated start that I expanded beyond that could be considered destubs and he agreed. This would imply that 'stub' is defined as under 1.5 kb of readable prose pre-expansion rather than strictly a stub assessment. [1] Kges1901 (talk) 01:24, 13 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • I had it in my head that the upper limit was 1k. Drive on, MacDuff!--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 02:45, 13 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
