Draft:county of Achalm[edit]

I saw that you went through and got rid of a copyedit on my draft page for the county of Achalm. I have noticed that some people question the historical accuracy of Achalm existing as I have stated it in the entry, and I was wondering what your take on it is.

  • Following an RfC, TFAs will be automatically semi-protected the day before it is on the main page and through the day after.
  • A discussion at WP:VPP about revision deletion and oversight for dead names found that [s]ysops can choose to use revdel if, in their view, it's the right tool for this situation, and they need not default to oversight. But oversight could well be right where there's a particularly high risk to the person. Use your judgment.

  • The SmallCat dispute case has closed. As part of the final decision, editors participating in XfD have been reminded to be careful about forming local consensus which may or may not reflect the broader community consensus. Hi. As with every abbreviation there comes a period after etc., and despite what the guardian's internal style guide says, all I can find on Google is that one should use a period after etc. By the way, etc. without a dot is on the Wikipedia list of common misspellings as

Hmm, and the dot is so necessary that it should be added to instances of "etc" within other users' signed comments? Ah I'm seeing it now first, it was your comment and not the actual article. This was not intended but the regex currently is not able to differentiate between this and as many typos as I remove, mistakes can sometimes happen.
I would be happy if I could help but I do not speak Chinese too. I think that Lky269 created several drafts covering similar topics and all got declined because of missing reliable sources is even more mysterious. If anyone can shed light on this, then probably only Lky269 can?

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

  • Following a motion, the Extended Confirmed Restriction has been amended, removing the allowance for non-extended-confirmed editors to post constructive comments on the "Talk:" namespace. Now, non-extended-confirmed editors may use the "Talk:" namespace solely to make edit requests related to articles within the topic area, provided that their actions are not disruptive.
  • The Arbitration Committee has announced a call for Checkusers and Oversighters, stating that it will currently be accepting applications for CheckUser and/or Oversight permissions at any point in the year.
  • Eligible users are invited to vote on candidates for the Arbitration Committee until 23:59 December 11, 2023 (UTC). Candidate statements can be seen here.

Move of Today (Australian TV program)[edit]

Hi Killarnee. Regarding your closure of this move request, the 1982 TV program is the most likely primary topic for "Today (Australian TV program)" and should be kept there, having aired for 44 years in comparison to the 1960 TV program's one year. Today (1960 TV program) is an Australian television program too, so disambiguation by country wouldn't fully disambiguate these two articles but by year does. Or do you mean something different? And because of the primary, naming the article just today doesn't work either, so the article needs disambiguation either way.
