Welcome to my talk page. I will reply on your talk page. Thanks. King Lopez Contribs 05:32, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

Userpage semiprotection

Hi King Lopez, unfortunately I can't semiprotect your userpage unless it's the target of heavy vandalism. Sorry :( – Riana 10:20, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

Ok well thanks anyway Riana. King Lopez Contribs 09:19, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

Funny Clown

Hi King Lopez. As far as I know, Bart Versieck lives an ocean away from me. I don't personally have any problem with changes being made to my talk page, although some have taken issue with having their comments refactored, and I believe he has addressed those concerns. Take care, Can't sleep, clown will eat me 17:22, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

Ok I got it. Thanks. King Lopez Contribs 07:27, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

Kianss

Hello, I am a new user. Recently I have made some amendment to a page. However, you reverted my changes and treated my change as vandalism. I strongly think that the articles being put in that page are inappropriate and unjustified. So how can I express my view freely? Thanks a lot.--Kianss 08:58, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

Ok then. King Lopez Contribs 09:16, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

You are so niceee! Thanks you so much! --Kianss 09:23, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

No problem. King Lopez Contribs 09:25, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

Welcome messages

When using certain template tags on talk pages, don't forget to substitute with text by adding subst: to the template tag. For example, use {{subst:test}} instead of {{test}}. This reduces server load and prevents accidental blanking of the template. Please do so in welcome message, for example, use {{subst:welcome}} instead of {{welcome}}, thanks. Alright I got it. King Lopez Contribs 09:36, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

Blanking

You left a note on my talk page asking me not to replace articles with blank content. I have never done this intentionally, and to the best of my knowledge, unintentionally either, and if I had made some kind of mistake I'd revert it at once. In fact I know blanking to be vandalism. The problem is that you did not tell me which page I have been accused of blanking. Please let me know so this can be cleared up. Thank you, --Bluejay Young 09:35, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

Ok. King Lopez Contribs 09:44, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

You must have been looking at Agnes of God right while I was in the middle of working on it. I tightened up the quotes section. Nothing was blanked but I deleted a good percentage of what was there (3 quotes is enough and a whole scene didn't need to be quoted, especially since the script is online and linked from the article). Could have made it look like blanking. Check it now. --Bluejay Young 09:52, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

Looks Good. King Lopez Contribs 06:15, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

Bots

To be honest, I'm not quite sure in regards to your first question. You can try asking that at the village pump or the help desk if you want. Whenever I deal with vandals, I always revert first, then warn. I think the anti-vandal bots are are only capable of catching page blanking and obvious/clear vandalism; see User:AntiVandalBot#What AntiVandalBot is not and User:AntiVandalBot/FAQ. The idea of bots being given admin powers (i.e. the ability to protect and delete pages, block users, etc.) has been debated at Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/TawkerbotTorA, for example. Check out the "oppose" section and some of the users comments there. Cheers, Khoikhoi 05:06, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

Got it. Thanks Khoikhoi. King Lopez Contribs 05:44, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

Who knows? jimfbleak 10:13, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

Looks Good. King Lopez Contribs 06:54, 18 April 2007 (UTC)

design

I don't really know what I'm doing, so I made as few changes as possible in the hope that it woked. I'll play around as time goes on. jimfbleak 06:51, 18 April 2007 (UTC)

Cool. King Lopez Contribs 06:55, 18 April 2007 (UTC)

Re: Question

No, the link you provided is the unblock button. If I wanted to block you, I'd be at Special:Blockip/King Lopez. I'd have to take a screenshot if I wanted to show you what it looks like. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to do that or not... Khoikhoi 05:28, 19 April 2007 (UTC)

Ok. Thanks. King Lopez Contribs 09:18, 19 April 2007 (UTC)

That's actually what it looks like when you get blocked, not when an admin is blocking. Also, admins have been blocked too. I know of an arbitrator who was recently blocked for a 3RR violation. An admin unblocking himself is considered a very bad thing on Wikipedia, and may result in your admin powers being taken away. I don't really have time to take a screenshot right now, can you please ask someone else? Thanks, Khoikhoi 05:19, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

Alright. King Lopez Contribs 08:25, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

Hi, King Lopez. Sorry for the delayed response — I'm pretty busy in real life right now and I'm not on Wikipedia as much as I used to be. Anyway, when you're an administrator and you go to any userpage or user talk page, your toolbox looks like the box on the right (assuming that you're using the default Wikipedia skin). The "Block user" button is below "User contributions". There's also a "block" option on your watchlist and on history pages: on these pages, where a non-admin sees "(Talk | contribs)", an admin sees "(Talk | contribs | block)".

Clicking on the block button takes you to Special:Blockip. You won't be able to see that page, so I uploaded a screenshot of it here. As you can see, it's got some instructions for administrators and options for different types of blocks.

I hope that answers your questions! —Josiah Rowe (talkcontribs) 04:38, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

Thanks Josiah. King Lopez Contribs 08:56, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

Alex Lincoln

OK, he's been warned by you, and he's made bad faith edits to two other user pages, so next time I'll block (I'll watch for his contribs and sockpuppetry). Incidentally, reading above, I've inadvertently blocked myself at least twice. !!! jimfbleak 05:22, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

Ok. Thanks. King Lopez Contribs 08:57, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

Read the paper? (Natalie Erin)

Virginia Tech massacre articles rise to prominence, and "If it's printed in the Times, it must be true!" (though I think that was supposed to be the London Times, hmmm). Shenme 09:51, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

The name that's in the paper is my full name. So the name I use here is some of my names, but not all of them. Natalie 12:21, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

Ok I got it. Thanks. King Lopez Contribs 06:44, 25 April 2007 (UTC)

Hi there! I just wanted to let you know I had to revert your revert on the Ring page, as you were a tad hasty. Happy editing! Whiskey in the Jar 08:46, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

Ok. King Lopez Contribs 08:04, 28 April 2007 (UTC)

Hey again, thanks for the apology but it's really unneccessary! I was gonna make that mistake myself! It's tough when you get into one of those rv cycles! ;) Whiskey in the Jar 10:07, 28 April 2007 (UTC)

Got it. King Lopez Contribs 07:46, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
