Aktion[edit]

I'm confused by you marking "Aktion" as a copyright violation. It cited its source and paraphrased appropriately. Of course, it's a dicdef stub that should be deleted or maybe transwikied, but this has complicated the process somewhat. rspeer / ɹəədsɹ 19:14, 3 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The article is not paraphrased; even if just one sentence is copy-pasted, it's still considered a copyvio. -- King of Hearts | (talk) 22:42, 3 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My RfA[edit]

Thank you for your support during my RfA! It has decided to postpone making me an administrator based upon recent consensus (or lack thereof). Thanks for the kind remarks and I hope to continue to see you arount the project. Cheers, ZsinjTalk 08:33, 4 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Would you take a look at the AfD for walmarting and weigh in? It was nominated the first day it appeared with only one writer and it was unwikiesque, but I've tried to improve it and have asked those working on globilization. which is a "good article," for help.--Beth Wellington 19:43, 4 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

RFA Thanks[edit]

Thank you!
Thank you for your support in my recent RFA. It passed 53/1/2 and I am now an administrator. I appreciate that some of you made exceptions to your usual requirements re length of service and so on because we've interracted positively in the past, or because of my credentials, so I will endeavour to use my new mop cautiously. I'm always open to feedback and gently constructive criticism. If you're not an admin and need some assistance do of course please let me know. Thanks again --kingboyk 00:23, 6 March 2006 (UTC) [reply]

P.S. If you are interested in The Beatles, User:Lar has asked me to tag on a little note advertising the creation of a new Beatles WikiProject that we are currently setting up. Please sign up and help.

I'm wondering...why did you revert the reversion of blatent POV material at Marriage license? I'd revert it again myself, but I don't want to start an edit war. -- Calion | Talk 21:39, 6 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re : Nomination for adminship for (aeropagitica)[edit]

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to vote for me in my recent request for adminship It ended with a final score of (40/10/5). I value all of the contributions made during the process and I will take a special note of the constructive criticism regarding interacting with users in the user talk space. If you have questions or requests, please leave a message.  (aeropagitica)  16:21, 7 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your support in my RFA. The final vote count was (66/2/3), so I am now an administrator. Please let me know if at any stage you need help, or if you have comments on how I am doing as an admin. Have a nice day! Stifle 17:02, 7 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Adminship?[edit]

Hi there,

I've had a look through some of your contributions, and I've seen you around a hell of a lot over the last few days, and I was wondering if you'd consider accepting a nomination for RFA. Just a thought, Werdna648T/C\@ 11:33, 8 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm a bit busy now; maybe I'll accept in a few weeks. -- King of Hearts | (talk) 04:49, 9 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

JDoorjam's RfA[edit]

Prosper AfD[edit]

Hi, did Prosper really need to be relisted to generate a clearer consensus? Looks like plenty of valid opinions were offered in the 5 days it had been running for and there was little doubt about the outcome. If all AfD's with this level of interest (from a good number of regular AfD voters to boot) and clarity of opinion were relisted, we'd be relisting a hell of a lot of AfD's. Categories on wikipedia[edit]

Hi King of hearts, how do I find out all the categories available in wiki. If I want to create a category thats not there how do I do it.. Appreciate your help on this..I am clueless Mystic 15:39, 10 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Categories in AOL template[edit]

Please comment on the AOL template when you change a controversial part of the template. You can see my opinion on the page as well as the opinions of other vandalism fighters, there is currently a low intensity revert war going on over this issue. Obviously the persons who removed the categories the last 2 times had rather strong opinions themselves. You don't want to create bad feelings. I know the same could be said for the other edits, and they should probably be involved in a discussion as well I will try to get them involved. I am not doing any edits to the page myself just trying to stave off a real war on a permanently cached template. --Darkfred Talk to me 16:59, 10 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My RFA[edit]

Thanks for participating in my RfA. It passed with a final tally of 98/13/10, just two short of making WP:100. If you need my help with anything, don't hesitate to ask.

This week Great Leap Forward and Decline of the Roman Empire were selected to be improved to featured article status.

Umm... that's ridiculous. I was reverting vandalism on Wikipedia. -- King of Hearts | (talk) 05:42, 14 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry about that, its fixed joshbuddytalk 06:20, 14 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Was there a reason behind the creation of this category? Speedy deletes don't require endorsements. They simply need to meet one of the conditions, multiple users supporting does not change that fact. The number of supporters is never an issue for a speedy delete. Either it meets the criteria or it does not. This would also appear to be a change in policy which should be discussed before changing. Vegaswikian 20:27, 15 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why the relist? nosecounting said no consensus, that's an OK outcome isn't it? You can reply here, I watch talk pages... ++Lar: t/c 22:57, 15 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I relisted it to generate a clearer consensus; now it looks like a consensus for keep. -- King of Hearts talk 23:12, 15 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Micro, that's an eminently supportable and laudable reason (it's always the reason to relist, after all). Gets an article clearly kept instead of default kept. Macro, though... with the trend rising towards 200 articles a day on AfD again, I have to wonder if it's a good idea. Time spent evaluating this one means (possibly) short shrift for another article. I note you were asked about a relist of another article too. Just something to think about. Happy editing! ++Lar: t/c 23:18, 15 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Lapara coniferarum[edit]

Lapara coniferarum An article that you have recently created, Lapara coniferarum, only has a classification infobox, an image, and an external link. Please expand it to have a few lines of actual content. Thank you, and happy editing! -- King of Hearts talk 23:24, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

From my user info, you'll notice that all I am doing right now is uploading the images of individual species of Sphingidae. With the more common species, (Lapara included) people come in and add in the info very quickly. See Hyalophora cecropia for proof of this.--Kugamazog 23:30, 15 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback[edit]

Chech out the talk page of the user who also notices that problem and posted on Sam's talk page. I explained what I did there. If you still need help, drop me a not. I am currently finishing some JS of my own.Voice-of-AllT|@|ESP 23:07, 18 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

To do you have two duplicate rollbacks? It looks like you would. You should copy my monobook except for popups (an easy to spot 5 lines). The one you are using is for non-admins.Voice-of-AllT|@|ESP 23:33, 18 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism[edit]

You reverted your own vandalism 12 minutes ago! This is ridiculous! Georgia guy 23:36, 18 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Georgia Guy seems to call any edit he doesn't agree with or understand 'Vandalism' -- perhaps he would do well to review the actual definition in the appropriate page, and perhaps the policy on civility. Zero sharp 02:33, 20 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My RFA[edit]

Yes, but....[edit]

On such IP's, legitimate users can login and edit, while vandals are blocked and real potential contributors will be willing to wait a few hours or days. -- King of Hearts talk 03:04, 21 March 2006 (UTC)

What happens when the vandalizers keep getting on whenever they unblock the site so they have to block it again. There is no way one can wait until they stop because they know that it will keep getting unblocked right? - DamienVryce - Word
Then it's obvious that an admin should just block the vandal account. -- King of Hearts talk 23:39, 22 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

my userpage[edit]

I was the one who changed the thumb to the image of "Cell" on my page. I was just not logged in at the time. I apprecieate your concern, though. Thanks for the speedy revert.--ÑøζζłεΜαńFile:Homsar small.png 14:51, 22 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

'vandalism'[edit]

I was not deleting things without any reason, see the page's talk page. There is no reason for those creatures to be listed on the page as they are only represented on single cards, which there are hundreds of in Magic's history. I had merely forgotten to sign in and assumed people would see the talk page for the reasons, but I guess not. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.254.231.238 (talkcontribs) 23:32, March 24, 2006

Margaret Culkin Banning[edit]

So now we have enough context to allow for expansion, but still very limited in content. When you have made the content several lines or longer, you can remove the {{prod}} tag. -- King of Hearts talk 01:32, 27 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Come on, this is a reasonable stub already. TreveXtalk 01:36, 27 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not a vandal[edit]

I removed the monty python reference because it is wrong. You would of course have realised this if you had bothered to read the discussion page. I see you have done this kind of thing before so I shall be reporting you for idiocy and misuse of power. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.3.157.73 (talkcontribs) 20:47, March 27, 2006

You may wish to read our no personal attacks policy. Calling somebody an idiot, accusing them of misusing their power and making sarcastic comments about their behavior is both a personal attack and an assumption of bad faith. Please be civil in your dealings with other editors. Thanks, and welcome to Wikipedia. Werdna648T/C\@ 13:04, 27 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
If you would like to remove content, please clarify your reasoning in the edit summary. -- King of Hearts talk 01:45, 28 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I've removed it because I don't appreciate being lectured when instead I should receive an apology for being called a vandal. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.3.157.73 (talkcontribs) 10:55, March 28, 2006

CloseAFD[edit]

Did you clear your cache? You can do that by pressing ctrl+shift+refresh on any Wikipedia page. Once done, edit an AfD and you should see two "close" and "relist" tabs next to where the "watch" tab is. Johnleemk | Talk 05:30, 30 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The tabs aren't there. Can you show me a screenshot of how the tabs would look like when working properly? -- King of Hearts talk 06:22, 30 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Basically they look like the "watch" tab, but are spaced away a bit to the right. If you still cannot see them while editing AfDs, then maybe you should clear your monobook.js and then copy and paste CloseAfD back there (just to see if any other scripts you have installed are clashing with CloseAfD). Don't forget to clear your cache after altering monobook.js. Johnleemk | Talk 15:18, 30 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

AfD for Peter V Tretter[edit]

The AfD was closed two days ago as "No Consensus" just before the election. The election was yesterday. According to The Ottawa Citizen [1]: "Unofficial results showed Ms. MacLeod received 17,311 votes for 57.6 per cent of the total, Mr. Ford 9,457 or 31.4 per cent, New Democrat Laurel Gibbons 2,489 or 8.3 per cent and the Green party's Peter Tretter 634 for 2.1 per cent." Was there, in your opinion a consensus to delete if Tretter did nothing in the election or do we need to AfD it all over again? Fan1967 13:44, 31 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
