Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Happy editing! Cheers, Re Pa©ker&Tra©ker (♀) 12:12, 4 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

As you were asked previously, please start a discussion on the article talkpage and get consensus for the image in the infobox. Edit-warring slowly to force through your choice is not a good idea. See also WP:NOINDIC. Abecedare (talk) 18:58, 18 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Three additional notes:

  • When uploading images for example, File:Jahbaba2.png from the Cleveland Museum of Art website, please upload the highest resolution version that is available (which in this case would be this 70MB tiff file).
  • Give the file more descriptive names that Jahbaba2 etc and add the pertinent informationn fromm the source site about the image artist, provenance etc to the image description on Wikimedia Commons. That metadata is what often makes the image encyclopedic.
  • Don't automatically replace the existing infobox image with the image you happen to have found and uploaded, especially when the existing image is arguably of better quality. This is disruptive. Instead, as I said above, discuss the issues on the article talkpage.

Your recent editing history at Shah Jahan shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Blocked — please respond below[edit]

Hi, Kkggzz. I notice you have ignored the warnings and information you have received above. Perhaps you are not aware of this page, your own talkpage? In the hope that you will find it via the block log, I have blocked you from editing. Please respond below to Abecedare's warnings. Provided your answers are constructive, you can then be unblocked. You should ask for anything that there is disagreement about by starting a discussion on the article's talkpage - in the case of the image at Shah Jahan, that would be at Talk:Shah Jahan. Start a new secion at the bottom of the talkpage, give it a name, and explain why you think the image you have been putting in is better, and try to get consensus for using it. Please read the policy Wikipedia:Edit warring, and do not edit war. Edit warring is a serious faux pas here, and you can be blocked for it. So is editing logged out, when you have an account, as you did here. Editing logged out tends to conceal edit warring - for instance, at Shah Jahan, it looks in the page history as if you, User:Kkggzz, only reverted three times, but in reality, the IP edit is obviously also yours, so it's four times. That can be taken as deceptive editing.
If you read Wikipedia:Edit warring and explain in a satisfactory way below how you will avoid it in the future, and also how you will avoid editing logged out, I will unblock you. Bishonen | tålk 22:56, 20 May 2023 (UTC).[reply]
