September 2023[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm FutureFlowsLoveYou. I noticed that you recently removed content from Battle of Baia without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. 'No evidence' is not a valid reason if it's verified in attached sources. FutureFlowsLoveYou (talk) 09:45, 19 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I removed any information that cannot be confirmed by documents (opinions are not evidences and assumptions ”most likely he refused” have no place in an encyclopedia).
For instance, there is no evidence of a letter from Stephen to Vlad, asking for Chilia; there is no evidence Wallachia (ever) ruled over Chilia (we know Hungary had a garrison, but nothing about Wallachia) and/or Budjak.
I think the burden of prof is on the one who adds the informations not the one who removes what has not been proven. Klehus (talk) 09:57, 19 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I won't contest your counter reverts, but I will note that assumptions in sources do have a place in Wikipedia, they just have to be treated appropriately. FutureFlowsLoveYou (talk) 10:50, 19 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your input; you have taught me I should always come with sources to back up my actions (even when my actions are to remove infos that were never backed up by a valid source but by someone's opinion). Klehus (talk) 11:29, 19 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
