Please discuss article edits on article talk page.

[edit]

Hi, Klimenok, to edit articles here on English Wikipedia, we usually don't insert HTML comments in article text, but put sourced statements with inline citations into article text. If you disagree with a statement currently in article text but don't have a source to cite, feel free to discuss it on the article talk page. Please note that Race (classification of humans) is an article that is currently under active arbitration sanctions, so it is a good idea to discuss before making unsourced changes. I look forward to discussing edits with you; всего хорошего. -- WeijiBaikeBianji (talk, how I edit) 01:49, 13 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

RE LOUISIANA FRENCH & CAJUN FRENCH

I have reactivated the improvements, based entirely on solidly sourced information, on Louisiana French. Additionally, I have left the Cajun French page activated, in the hopes to merge the two into one page. This page is and should be based entirely on language and less on ethnicity, which is the decidedly prominent feature of the Cajun French page. My hope is that we can come to an agreement without involving the Editorial Board. I feel confident that we can work together on producing a page that properly reflects the French language as spoken in Louisiana by all Louisiana Francophones, as titled in the "Dictionary of Louisiana French. As spoken in Cajun, Creole and American Indian Communities." — Preceding unsigned comment added by Criollokid80 (talkcontribs) 07:09, 22 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia Help Survey

[edit]

Hi there, my name's Peter Coombe and I'm a Wikimedia Community Fellow working on a project to improve Wikipedia's help system. At the moment I'm trying to learn more about how people use and find the current help pages. If you could help by filling out this brief survey about your experiences, I'd be very grateful. It should take less than 10 minutes, and your responses will not be tied to your username in any way.

Thank you for your time,

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
