There are several problems with this set of edits. First it included several paragraphs that violated Wikipedia:Copyrights, second the large fleet info is already included in its own article and does not need duplcation. Lastly there are style issues. Articles should be prose and not bulleted points and there is no need to link so much. All that linking does not help the reader but in fact makes it hard to read. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 18:16, 15 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I did leave the engines section in as part of the fleet. The article is large already so it's best to put the destinations in at Emirates destinations. Makes the article easier for people to load and read. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 18:39, 15 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. HAve fun. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 19:30, 15 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Klop, you do not have to Wikify everything. Also, Wikifying "Emirates" in the Emirates article will cause it to be bolded. We have it bolded once. Please be selective about what is wikified -- WhisperToMe (talk) 20:26, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Emirates

[edit]

I have noticed that you have also changed some of the content not merely wiki-linking everything. What gain do you see from linking everything? Is their data in the said article that contains errors? If so then that is acceptable. The addition of facts and links on a page that is already crammed with information, is counter productive and is a pain to read.Any questions?---- Jab843 (talk) 20:35, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, you did not waste my time at all. I am glad that you are willing to become a productive Wikipedian :) WhisperToMe (talk) 12:49, 17 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I just want to commend you for doing a good job at clearing up Emirates. Thanks for learning how to do it and I can see you becoming a good editor if you keep it up!--Jab843 (talk) 15:03, 17 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Emirates Airline Marketing and sponsorships, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read our the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Notability of Lucy Elliott

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Lucy Elliott requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. JohnCD (talk) 14:16, 9 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Before putting in any more articles about people, read Wikipedia's guideline on Notability (people). If you put in articles about people who are not notable as described there, they will just be deleted. JohnCD (talk) 14:46, 9 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Emirates Airline

[edit]

You have been warned before about adding copyright material. Please read Wikipedia:Copyrights. CambridgeBayWeather Have a gorilla 13:23, 10 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have re-written the paragraph so it is no longer a copyright violation. If you insert copyright material again you will be blocked. Also you need to read Talk:Emirates Airline#Twice daily as the consensus is to use (daily) and (twice daily) not (Daily) and (Double Daily). You made a mess of the references with this edit. Scroll down the page in the link and look at reference 42, see the problem? Some of the references are used more than once in the article so the <ref name=> should be used so that the same reference is not listed more than once but as a, b. Also the article uses {{reflist|2}} which means that in the Firefox browser there are two columns of references. Now if you put in bare http links like http://in.news.yahoo.com/indiaabroad/20080423/r_t_ians_bs_intl/tbs-emirates-plans-to-have-over-450-airc-03f2e13.html without a title it causes the page to scroll off to the right hand side of most monitors. CambridgeBayWeather Have a gorilla 19:22, 10 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for seeing that. I forgot to close some of the references so they cut out part of the tables. It should be fixed now. CambridgeBayWeather Have a gorilla 15:55, 11 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
