Shauri[edit]

Dear Knowledgeofself. I saw your message on Shauri's talkpage. Your name is truly appropriate. She will soon be back with her friendliness :).--Wiglaf 08:10, 9 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Vandalism[edit]

Thank you for reverting my user page. I had expected I would be vandalized, after voting to delete Ice Cream Man (movie) and Gyno-land (movie). - Dalbury (talk) 09:54, 9 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Harry Potter[edit]

quote regarding Snape, page 671 american edition....of which book? Sandpiper 02:40, 10 November 2005 (UTC) Thanks for getting back. Now, I have the english edition. do you know the chapter title, as the page numbers are different? Sandpiper 03:00, 10 November 2005 (UTC) Ok. I found it page 591, Careers advice. Apparently brits have bigger pages. Sandpiper You play basketball while editing wiki? I have enough trouble typing. Sandpiper 03:41, 10 November 2005 (UTC) Well someone must. Its a ridiculous time in the morning here, and what am I doing? arguing about nuclear power and magic. Good to be rooted in the real world.Sandpiper 03:48, 10 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Upload image[edit]

Oh, very cute cat :D. I have no pets; cant stand the responsibility. Im very sloppy, lazy and disorganized, and I love it, LoL.

As for the image upload. Im not quite sure what to do here. The image is not uploading because of techincal reasons. According to Wikipedia:Uploadloading, the preferred image format are JPEG and PNG for photographs and drawings. Other formats will give trouble, so Im not sure if anything can be done. Cool, Very nice :D. How did you do it though? Oran e (t) (c) (@) 21:38, 11 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Merci beaucoup[edit]

Hi, Li. Thanks for your vote of support on my nomination to become an administrator. I passed, and my floor rag has since been bestowed upon me. Please let me know if you need me to help with anything in particular! —BrianSmithson 17:03, 12 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Slughorn[edit]

Well, there's a fascinating idea. Not heard that one before. All i've seen suggests that Sluggie is a shining example of a good slytherin. Always out for number one, but plays fair in returning favours. Sandpiper 17:19, 13 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Tidbits[edit]

Oi! Thanks for the bootcamp compliment. I haven't been welcoming people as much as I used to (doing pretty much everything else, and I seem to have nothing in common with my pre-adminship self.) All I did before my RFA was welcome people and write some mediocre articles, I seem to be on the adminship, mediation, mentorship, community side of things now, though I do sometimes get the urge to write articles I'm just too busy doing everything else. I'd like to see this text barnstar though.... and I appreciate the joke :) Redwolf24 (talk) 22:45, 13 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

See WP:MC/S, I think you'd pass :) Redwolf24 (talk) 23:08, 13 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you so much![edit]

My dear KoS, we've met only briefly, yet you took the time to cheer me up and support me. I was very moved with you beautiful gesture, and your joke really cheered me up in a moment that was critical to me. You've earned every bit of my gratitude, and I hope this is just the beginning of a long friendship. Thank you, from the depths of my heart - it is great to see that kindness is alive and well in this place thanks to people like you. Extremely big and tight *hugs*! :) Your new, friend (and hopefuly for a looooong time!), Shauri smile! 23:37, 13 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

65.30.212.36[edit]

Thank you for defending my page! Yes, I've noticed that you and Francs2000 were fending off this vandal. I just blocked the IP, so we should have peace for a while, I hope... Thanks again! Owen× 03:03, 14 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, I have no further information on the Mariposa War right now. I never really knew much about the event. I was mostly trying to convert red links to blue links, so I basically did a quick search for the required information and started the stub. --Ixfd64 07:07, 14 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

 • In reply to the message on my talk page: I also seem to be having a problem finding more information on the Mariposa War. I guess that it is because that the Mariposa isn't a well-known event in U.S. history. I guess you could remove the stub tags if you want. --Ixfd64 07:15, 14 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I have rewritten the stub so that it is about a small town in Beaufort County, North Carolina.

Capitalistroadster 09:41, 14 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Heya, I was doing backlog RC patrol stuff that slipped through first defenders. On my preliminary search it does seem notable from 1293 and a Google search. Looks like preliminary translation attempt. Sorry about the delay... cable connection decided to go on the fritz right after I edited the article; took a long while for the cable modem to reconnect. I'll be on Wikivacation for a bit, cya when I get back. - RoyBoy 800 16:57, 14 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Your user signature and the <font> tags[edit]

Hi there KnowledgeOfSelf. I thought I'd let you know that the <font> tags in your signature are sometimes spilling over into text that follows it. Any chance you could add some additional </font> tags to close everything up? Thanks! --Alan Au 22:22, 14 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the nice note. :) About your signature, here's how I would fix it (ignore the bold in talk, it's because you're in the same page as the link is): <font color=#151B8D>Knowledge</font><font color=#C11B17>OfSelf</font> | <font color= #461B7E>talk</font>.. Which shows up as "KnowledgeOfSelf | talk. 23:37, 14 November 2005 (UTC)" Titoxd(?!?) 23:37, 14 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm, yes, there are technical difficulties having to do with the HTML Tidy extension to MediaWiki, and they're breaking the signatures, (or to be correct, they're displaying the signatures as we have typed them, and they're showing us humans our mess... :P) Did you type the text I gave you in the "Raw signature" box of your preferences and refresh your cache? Titoxd(?!?) 23:58, 14 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm... want to try it out on my sandbox? (feel free to type patent nonsense there to try everything out). Titoxd(?!?) 00:07, 15 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
It's because the HTML signatures of others haven't been fixed, but don't worry about it, you're fine. Titoxd(?!?) 00:20, 15 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Signature[edit]

Hi, KnowledgeOfSelf. I noticed that your signature didn't have properly closing tags, and on my browser, the text following your signature turned red. So instead of using this:

<font color=#151B8D>Knowledge</font><font color=#C11B17>Of</font><font color=#C11B17>Self</font> | <font color= #461B7E>talk</font>.

Please consider this:

<font color="#151B8D">Knowledge</font><font color="#C11B17">Of</font><font color="#C11B17">Self</font> | <font color="#461B7E">talk</font>.

Thank you! :) Regards, Sango123 (talk) 23:55, 14 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Ah... I see my message was a bit redundant; sorry about that. :) Take care! Sango123 (talk) 23:59, 14 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

KnowledgeOfSelf1 impostor[edit]

Hey, did you by chance email me about blocking? I blocked your impostor User:Knowledgeofself1, but not you. The email is requesting a unblock, of IPs 68.248.162.0 and 64.108.88.148, which are not blocked. I want to be sure it is not the impostor emailing me and not you, which I dont' think you are blocked unless by another IP. Thanks. «»Who?¿?meta 01:27, 19 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I have no idea whats going on YES it was me who sent the email! When ever I go to edit a page I get this: You have attempted to edit a page, either by clicking the "edit this page" tab or by following a red link. Your IP address is 68.248.162.0. Please include this address, along with your username, in any queries you make. I don't know what it means because as far as I've always known my IP is 64.108.88.148. I was reading the page that comes up whenever I click "edit this page" and it was explaining about dynamic IPs, shared proxies and IP ranges. I am clueless on what those are I don't understand why I am blocked when my IP is 64.108.88.148. The message is saying it is 68.248.162.0. I thank you very much for your quick replie. KnowledgeOfSelf | talk. 01:34, 19 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm, ok. Let me check for a proxy range block. It may take me a few minutes, sorry for the short delay, had to take a shower. :) «»Who?¿?meta 01:42, 19 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Well I'm at a loss, I'm currently posting a message on AN to get some feedback, on this. I don't see any recent range blocks for either IP. Hopefully someone will help get this resolved quickly. «»Who?¿?meta 01:53, 19 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Do me a favor and see if you can edit now. «»Who?¿?meta 02:11, 19 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
yes?
I've taken a look at the block log up to Nov. 4 and I don't see anything which would suggest that you're blocked...very strange... --HappyCamper 02:13, 19 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

My RFA[edit]

Thanks for your support. I've now been made an administrator. I'll do my best not to let you down :) --Sherool (talk) 02:47, 19 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks[edit]

Thanks for supporting me for adminship. The RfA passed today. I look forward to working with you to make Wikipedia a better place. --Nlu 03:44, 19 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thank You[edit]

I appreciate your reverting the blanking of my user page which I have just discovered. I have no idea why but do know that vandals will do about anything for no reason. If I can ever help you just let me know. Thanks again.--Dakota t e 06:42, 19 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you![edit]

Hi KnowledgeOfSelf,

Thank you very much for your support on my RfA. I was both surprised and delighted about the amount of support votes and all the kind words! If I can ever help with anything or if you have any comments about my actions as an admin, please let me know! Regards, JoanneB 15:42, 21 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
