Orphaned non-free image File:Dinosaurchestra.jpg

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Dinosaurchestra.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:16, 20 June 2023 (UTC)

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Zubin Sedghi 2012.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:Zubin Sedghi 2012.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Ирука13 20:25, 26 August 2023 (UTC)

Zubin Sedghi moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to Zubin Sedghi. Unfortunately, it is not ready for publishing because it needs more sources to establish notability. Your article is now a draft where you can improve it undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. casualdejekyll 22:42, 26 August 2023 (UTC)

@Koopastar - I like a lot of the same music and musicians that you do. I understand you want to contribute information about them to Wikipedia, but you really should read pages like WP:Your first article and Wikipedia:General notability guideline - In particular, Wikipedia only includes articles about subjects that have been given significant coverage multiple reliable sources which are independent of the subject casualdejekyll 22:58, 26 August 2023 (UTC)

Replaceable non-free use File:Zubin Sedghi 2012.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Zubin Sedghi 2012.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of non-free use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of non-free use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable non-free use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable non-free use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. casualdejekyll 23:04, 26 August 2023 (UTC)

Koopa, I really don't want to discourage you from editing Wikipedia, but your Zubin Sedghi article had a LOT of issues - one of which is that this image does not appear to be licensed under a CC license, like you claim it is. casualdejekyll 23:07, 26 August 2023 (UTC)

Re; Hidden in the Sand

@Koopastar - I've restored the redirect back to Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum (album), since the sources used in the article you wrote for the song aren't sufficient to support a stand alone Wikipedia article. I suggest that you refrain from creating new articles directly and instead use the Articles for creation process until you gain more familiarity with Wikipedia - this will require another editor to review your work as a draft before moving it to the main encyclopedia.

I am not saying this to try to discourage you from creating articles - I think it's great that you're interested in writing articles! It's just that the articles you've written have been either deleted or redirected multiple times, and I think it would save the work for all of us if you used the Draft: space first, since there would be no need to start deletion discussions.

Relevant reading: Wikipedia:The answer to life, the universe, and everything, Wikipedia:Notability (music) casualdejekyll 00:41, 28 August 2023 (UTC)

The Hidden in the Sand article followed several of the criteria mentioned in music notability with verifiable sources such as the RIAA though. The Bidding was written the same way and didn't receive any deletion notices. Koopastar (talk) 00:51, 28 August 2023 (UTC)
That's WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS. Per the same criteria you cite, "All articles on albums or other recordings should meet the basic criteria at the notability guidelines, with significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." I know it's confusing. casualdejekyll 00:53, 28 August 2023 (UTC)
I doubt that article is notable either. Note that iTunes charts are not considered reliable. wizzito | say hello! 00:43, 29 August 2023 (UTC)
WP:NALBUM criteria 3 uses "The recording has been certified gold or higher in at least one country" as notability. Koopastar (talk) 00:59, 29 August 2023 (UTC)
Also note "Specific to recordings, a recording may be notable if it meets at least one of these criteria" and "Notability aside, a standalone article is only appropriate when there is enough material to warrant a reasonably detailed article; articles unlikely ever to grow beyond stubs should be merged into the artist's article or discography." wizzito | say hello! 01:03, 29 August 2023 (UTC)

Hello. Regarding the article Yes I'm a Mess, you created the article with unsourced genres, so they've been removed per WP:V. Also, we should avoid citing e-commerce sources like Tidal and Spotify per WP:AFFILIATE, so I've removed the Tidal citation in the personnel section. Personnel sections don't need to be sourced on album articles so there's no real reason (in the absence of contentious information) that they need to be on song articles either. It's expected they come from the album or single liner notes. Thanks. Ss112 11:18, 10 October 2023 (UTC)
