Edit Summary
[edit]Hi. If you're removing substantial text from an article (e.g. removing president tags, external links, changing templates) I recommend putting some information into your edit summary on why you've removed it, so that other people can understand why you have removed or changed things. Thanks. Ha! (talk) 02:32, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
Deleting info
[edit]You've deleted info 4 times now in 1 day [1][2][3][4], this is generally a violation, you should watch out with that it can get you blocked.
So what's your problem with that info? The infobox isn't just for people who started the campaign, but those who are INVOLVED with it. And for some reason you're deleting information about the current situation in the caucasus. - PietervHuis (talk) 23:57, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
Alexander Rutskoy article
[edit]Hi. You've removed "Russian presidents" from Alexander Rutskoy three times [5] [6] [7] without any explanation, reasoning or useful information in the edit summary, even after I added two references that verify he was acting president [8]. Would you be interested in contributing your thoughts on why the tag doesn't belong in the article? If you would, you can do so on the talk page? Thanks. Ha! (talk) 00:06, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
April 2008
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Superpower. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Woland (talk) 18:13, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
Redirect of Isabela (disimbiguation)
[edit]Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Isabela (disimbiguation), by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Isabela (disimbiguation) is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Isabela (disimbiguation), please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Revert of external link in Defeating Jihad
[edit]Hi. None of your edits to Defeating Jihad that remove this link have had an edit summary, so there's no way of knowing why you keep removing it. I'd appreciate knowing the reason you object to it. Thanks. Ha! (talk) 06:30, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
- Hi. Thanks for leaving an edit summary when you reverted it back this time, it's really useful to know why you've reverted it. I don't agree with your reason as I honestly just don't care what the politics of the site the interview is on is, the interview directly addresses the book by being an interview with the author about the book, so I'll be putting the link back in about a day's time. I've started a discussion on the talk page if you'd like to discuss it. Thanks Ha! (talk) 07:48, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
President of Iran {{Iranian elections}} box
[edit]Hi. RE the reverting going on at President of Iran. I've started a section about it on the talk page. Would you be interested in discussing it there? Ha! (talk) 07:21, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
- Hi. You wanted the box removed because "no other template put a country's elections with the President." [9]. When I find you a very well edited article that does [10], you find a reason that that particular article doesn't count [11]. Once again, I encourage you to discuss this on the talk page. Having a discussion via edit summaries is not very practical. Thanks Ha! (talk) 01:41, 20 April 2008 (UTC)
Please do not delete information about Victor Chernomerdyn, template Europe heads of state and do not replace the official standart by simple Russian flag on respective page, without proving your POV on talk page. Your content removal does not appear constructive, and has been reverted.
- Yes, Chernomerdyn was acting only one day, but was acting - the total removing of such infomation is unacceptable.
- Russia is enough European state - the removing of respective template is unacceptable without discussion on respective template talk page.
- And official standart of Russian President is official standart of Russian President, not flag of Russia. See also President of USA.
Alex Spade (talk) 21:49, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
And again
- Any replacement of standart of President to flag of Russia without discussion on talk page will be reverted.
- Any inset of Mikhail Gorbachev as Inaugural or Formation withour links to official docs will be reverted.
Alex Spade (talk) 08:08, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
And third time. You must prove your POV at talk page. If you continue to do such action without discussion on talk page, they will be reverted and your action will be point for Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Alex Spade (talk) 16:30, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
Please don't remove sourced material without discussing it on the article's Talk page. Corvus cornixtalk 03:02, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
- Where did I ever say anything about Fox News? Corvus cornixtalk 23:33, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
Hi, I noticed that you blanked this template, with the edit summary "I have just created a new template which has just expanded the Russian Space Program. So please accept the new template that I have just created". I have three problems with this:
- I cannot find your new template
- {{Russian manned space programs}} is still in use, and transcluded onto a number of pages, so it should not be blanked (a redirect would be acceptable)
- A complete change of template should be discussed before it is implemented.
- Please can you respond to these points. Thanks --GW_SimulationsUser Page | Talk 18:23, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
{{Military of Russia}}
[edit]I put this template you created up for speedy deletion. The reason I gave was (CSD#T3) "Duplicate of Template:Armed_Forces_of_the_Russian_Federation and the creator of this template seems to be developing that template instead. It's also not used in any articles and doesn't link to anything useful (they're all redlinks)". I'm assuming you created it and then noticed the already existing {{Armed_Forces_of_the_Russian_Federation}} but in case you didn't, you should be aware of the speedy deletion tag. Ha! (talk) 18:37, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
Hi. I'm afraid I've reverted your edit to Lenin's Mausoleum [12] [13] [14] [15]. With respect to this [16] edit in particular, could I ask that you make a reasonable effort (a 5 second google search, or even just clicking one link, would have sufficed in this case) to check your facts before you make changes, especially when you are reverting in conflict with other editors. It seems to me that a high proportion of your edits are reverted. It might be a good idea to try stepping away from articles where you're editing in conflict with other editors for a week and editing other articles (with less contentious changes), so you can come at it from a fresh perspective. Ha! (talk) 20:38, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
{{Russia TV (RTR)}}
[edit]Hi. Please be aware that I've nominated the template above for deletion as it's a limited copy of Template:Television in Russia. See [17] and Template talk:Television in Russia for more detail. Ha! (talk) 22:37, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
{{Television in Russia}}
[edit]Hi. I think it might be a good idea to update this template with the correct TV channels and add them to their correct categories (e.g Public (which means state owned), Private (commercially owned), cable, wireless etc). Can you let me know why your approach [18] of removing all 30 channels, removing all TV channels except a few public (state owned) ones and breaking the template so it displays the wiki-markup is a better idea. Thanks. Ha! (talk) 14:15, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
Gallery of sovereign-state flags
[edit]You have some replies to your statement at Talk:Gallery of sovereign-state flags#Definition of "sovereign state". My reply simply says you are trying to change things by the wrong method (deleting, not talking) and even when talking you should be trying to argue for a change the list of sovereign states, perhaps at Talk:List of sovereign states. Stop simply deleting, start convincing people. Your many deletes will simply be reverted. Shenme (talk) 02:56, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
- Please note my comment to the most recent reversion of your deletion
- rv - kosovo still in List of sovereign states under "10 sovereign states lacking general international recognition")
- Until that changes your continued deletions at Gallery of sovereign-state flags will considered vandalism by most everyone you ask, if you ever start to ask. Shenme (talk) 02:03, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
Blanking in Template:Russian manned space programs
[edit]Please stop. If you continue to blank out or delete portions of page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did to Template:Russian manned space programs, you will be blocked from editing. If you have a problem with the template's existance, it should be taken up at WP:TFD. --GW_SimulationsUser Page | Talk 06:46, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
Regarding this edit summary, please try and stay civil, otherwise you might find yourself on the next fast train to ban-ville if you continue with this sort of activity such as calling people idiots, and personal attacks.--KerotanLeave Me a Message Have a nice day :) 17:19, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
- Actually, after I looked over your contributions, if you continue in your current manner, these notices will be replaced with progressive warning templates for you incivility.--KerotanLeave Me a Message Have a nice day :) 17:29, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
Please don't leave things in a broken state when you edit them
[edit]Dude... this is what Template:Foreign relations of Iraq looked like before you touched it [19]. This is what it looks like now that you've had a few pokes at [20]. I think you'll agree that you've basically broken it.
It's starting to be a real drag having to check all your edits and undo the ones that break things. Would you like to talk about why you feel the need to edit in such a damaging and disruptively way? It might help you to get it off your chest. Ha! (talk) 17:24, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
- OK, I see from these edits [21] later that you were actually trying to change Template:Foreign relations of Iraq from a vertical navigational box to a horizontal one like the rest of countries' "Foreign relations ..." navboxes are, so it could fit onto the bottom of Iraqi-Russian relations. Good idea. You need to first test things out in the sandbox though and then add them once they're working. Also, if you do change something, please check it afterwards and if you broke it, revert your change back to the original. Thanks Ha! (talk) 23:18, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
Hi. I've reverted [22] your changes to Gallery of sovereign-state flags. The editor you're engaged in the edit war-like behaviour with there has explained the reasons behind his reverts of your changes in great detail on it's talk page. Before you change the page again, could you respond to those points (or just have any dialogue that isn't a repetition of " Kosovo is not a Sovereign State!!! You idiots!!! Even Malaysia has dropped its recognition already. So remove this flag now!!!" [23]). Even better, as has already been mentioned on the talk page, you could note that
- Gallery of sovereign-state flags includes the same flags as the list of sovereign state flags. This talk page is used only for the discussion of formatting and such matters
... as you can no doubt see, you're trying to remove things from a gallery that is merely a reflection of List of sovereign states. If you get consensus for your ideas on it's talk page first you can change that list and Gallery of sovereign-state flags will reflect those changes. Ha! (talk) 18:49, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Gallery of country coats of arms. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. Skalskal (talk) 20:22, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

WP:Vandalism on Isabel
[edit]Please do not remove relevant images from articles, as you did to Isabel here [24]. Please have a read of WP:Vandal if you're in any doubts about what constitues vandalism. Ha! (talk) 22:50, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
Blocked for 3RR
[edit]You have been blocked for violating the three-revert rule at Gallery of country coats of arms. Please be more careful to discuss controversial changes or seek dispute resolution rather than engaging in an edit war. The duration of the block is 24 hours. Please also remember to remain civil and to avoid personal attacks against other editors, including in your edit summaries. If you believe this block to be unjustified, please contact me by email, or place {{unblock|reason here}} on this page to request review by another administrator. Hi, I've reverted your changes [25] to Lenin's Mausoleum. As you didn't leave an edit summary, I'm assuming your reasons for making the changes are the same as last time, [26] "(Please Remove Richard Seymour's Blog because his Blog name is lenin and not Lenin's Mausoleum or Lenin's Tomb. Okay so why you reverting it over and over again. Please remove this now!!!)". Please note that Richard Seymour's Blog is called "Lenin's Tomb" and is the top Google result for the search phrase "Lenin's Tomb". If you're reverting, please could you provide an edit summary, or even better, if you're reverting changes that multiple editors have already reverted back [27] [28] [29] , please discuss your changes on the talk page first. Thanks. Ha! (talk) 08:50, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
Edit warring at Gallery of sovereign state flags
[edit]Please discuss on the talk page rather than edit-warring. As you may be aware, if you are blocked again for editing in this manner, it will be for a longer period than your first block. Thanks. Paul Erik (talk)(contribs) 20:13, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
Hi. You've reverted on Gallery of sovereign state flags 6 times in 4 hours [30],
[31],
[32],
[33],
[34],
[35]. You are edit warring and need to chill out. It might help if you discuss the changes you want on the article's talk page (really on Talk:List_of_sovereign_states but anything that gets you discussing is fine). If that doesn't help you could invite a request for comment on the changes you want. Perhaps people will agree with what you want changing if you engage in calm discussion, or ask a wider spread of the community for comment after discussion. Ha! (talk) 22:18, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
