Hi, there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot 00:57, 26 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I do attach the 4 tildes, and my name and date do come up, but then the suffix still notes me as unsigned.. Why?! - Korsowan 12:23, 26 August 2007 (UTC) [It seems to work now.. Korsowan 16:20, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

Welcome...

Hello, Korsowan, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there.

I've made your suggested change on River Nile, and noticed that the article on Ripon Falls itself was wrong as well, and changed that. Thanks.

Again, welcome! Old Moonraker 06:12, 26 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Renaming a page

[edit]

I see that you had spotted the "Rippon Falls" article as well. To rename a page is actually very easy: you click on the "move" tab at the top of the page and use the correct title as the name for the new destination page. The contents of the old page (with the page history) are transferred to the new page and the old page, with the old title, is left behind, empty, just as an automatic redirect to the new one.

It's probably easier to do than describe! --Old Moonraker 06:26, 26 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
