I have just de-listed and closed your RFA per WP:SNOW. You may wish to review the Guide to RfA before submitting future nominations, as well as well as here and here, both of which list the more highly-supported RfAs. Additionally, admin coaching is a useful aid for editors interested in becoming an administrator. If I can assist you at all, please do not hesitate to contact me. -Dureo (talk) 13:41, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Farabi[edit]

Please prove your point about origin of Farabi. Because, there was not any iranian people at those times. Origin of Farabi is so controversial. He was born and raised in Turkestan, which is definetely not related to Persia or Iran anyhow. Peace.Ashkazakh (talk) 02:20, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 06:06, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

November 2008[edit]

Please do not add content without citing reliable sources, as you did to Tourism. Before making potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Angelo De La Paz (talk) 17:39, 12 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tehran deletion[edit]

The pictures represent the top 40 expensive cities in order from 1 to 40 according to Mercer's survey (which is skewed towards the expenses of the rich). Most cities outside the top 40 (e.g. Hamburg, Los Angeles, New Delhi, Jakarta, etc.) are clearly important cities as well. In fact, being high in this list has no relationship with the importance of a city, however you would define that. It doesn't even correlate with the desirability to live there (Moscow likely isn't the greatest place to live). I stopped adding pictures at 40, as that number of thumbnails approximately fit next to the current text. There's just no room and it wouldn't make much sense to depict all cities that happen to be part of the survey. Cheers, Afasmit (talk) 22:20, 12 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Problems with upload of Image:Gilan_University_camp.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Gilan_University_camp.jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or what the copyright status is. Re: Your ArbCom Vote[edit]

Thanks for your interest in this year's ArbCom elections. Unfortunately, we were required to set a criteria for voters, and that was decided to be the following:

  • Voters must have a registered account that was created on or before November 1, 2008.
  • Voters must have made 150 edits to articles on that account on or before November 1, 2008.

According to an automatic check, which I confirmed by looking at your contribution history, you have not met the requirements. Either you have not made 150 edits to articles (these edits must be in the main namespace) or you did not make them before the deadline of 23:59:59 November 1, 2008 (UTC). I've indented your votes. If you believe I sent this message in error, and that you do meet the requirements, please let me know on my talk page. Thanks, ST47 (talk) 21:09, 3 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

ANI notice, photo resolution[edit]

Hello, Kourosh ziabari. This message is being sent to inform you that there currently is a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding your uploading photographies that appear to be copyvios. Thank you.

Please notice my comment about photo resolution. The thumbnails are automatically done by the wikimedia software. Please make images with higher resolution software or use directly the file produced by the camera if it's not too big (bigger than 1.5 megabytes, for example). If you keep uploading files at small sizes and web resolution then people is going to think that you copied them from somewhere. Consider using commons, as all files uploaded there are automatically made available for wikipedia articles just as if they had been uploaded here (unless wikipedia already has an image with the exact same name). I'm sure that the people at Commons would love to host a 2034x1728 version of your rasht square image --Enric Naval (talk) 23:47, 3 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright violation in Image:Rasht-museum.gif[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:Rasht-museum.gif, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:Rasht-museum.gif is unquestionably copyright infringement, and no assertion of permission has been made.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Image:Rasht-museum.gif, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. To see the user who deleted the page, click here CSDWarnBot (talk) 21:40, 4 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article Foreign Policy Journal has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No evidence of notability presented.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
