Speedy deletion nomination of Vienna History Wiki[edit]

Hello Krabina,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Vienna History Wiki for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Swpbtalk 17:22, 11 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Reply[edit]

The existence of other (possibly also inappropriate) articles is not a valid argument for keeping your article - each article must be judged on its own merits against Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, which are based on the consensus of the community. This particular article did not give any indication of the notability of this particular wiki, and the only sources given were the wiki itself and a press release, neither of which are sufficient to establish notability. If, in the future, this wiki receives significant press coverage, then you'll be welcome to recreate the article with proper sourcing. Swpbtalk 12:57, 12 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Like I said - if you think you can make an article that meets the inclusion criteria, then feel free to try again. Swpbtalk 13:06, 12 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

March 2017[edit]

Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Vienna History Wiki. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Alexf(talk) 20:24, 22 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Why would a scientific papaer that provides more informatioin about what is described on the wiki page be an inappropriate link? Krabina (talk) 13:19, 5 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Image without license[edit]

Unspecified source/license for File:Karl Döhring.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Karl Döhring.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time after the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: Once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 07:01, 10 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
