Recreating deleted articles

[edit]

You have recently recreated or reposted material which previously was deleted in accordance with Wikipedia's deletion policies. Please do not recreate this page without prior approval from an administrator or you may be blocked from editing. We ask that you respect what Wikipedia is not. If you disagree with the page's deletion, you may seek an independent deletion review. --Crossmr (talk) 22:50, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please see Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Tower_defense. The reason it was redirected is because the article was previously deleted. Editors could not provide proper reliable sources which could be used on which to base an article about the genre itself. Since it was deleted through community review, any recreation would need to meet the prior deficiencies and preferably be proposed prior to it being recreated. If you feel you can create an article that conforms to WP:NOR, WP:V, WP:RS and WP:NOTE then create a working proposal for the article in your name space. For example at User:Krakenen/Tower Defense (Proposal). For example, these types of sentences Tower Defense is a genre of game first invented by players in Warcraft III World Editor. Cannot be used without a citation. While probably true, no editor can easily and independently verify this fact. Its written as though it comes from experience of being around at the time this occurred and is in reality original research. You're drawing on your own experience to put forth a theory about the origin of a genre.--Crossmr (talk) 06:52, 8 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
